Thanks for the input all, i do agree zarakon is a crap fight bc of all the variables. kinda like myzak sometimes I get no vision and no ice and others its almost constant. as with trak sometimes i get no hourglass or scrutiny and other pulls he picks me more then any other. I still like to see what i can do in best case and worst case in these fights and because i know there are so many variables i dont judge a wizards skill on these parses its just fun to see what others can do as well. So that being said here is my first ever zarakon kill.

RW: 49k (9min kill)

my group got 2 adds and i got 2 blue vision.

and now looking at this parse i was way off from what i said last night i thought i was in the 9k range lol.

it's not a bad thing at all, but fights like anashti, zarrakon etc offer enough power issues so that you might not want to add another one and on Multiencounters Fire/Ice delivers better dps imo.
Another point is, that Comet can hit for 100k+ (though only about 60k on average) as well any 22,5 secs, so the gap is not that huge.

I always liked that logic. I mean, why not be able to do it again before that 22.5 seconds is up! Manaburn can also more than double that Ice Comet btw.

Certain gear on yourself and others does help though.

Yea, there is a variety of max power % gear that is good. The power proc earring from this tiers Avatars is good too! 10% max power plus no power problems!

I think the biggest manaburn i've seen is around 225k. It's worth it now that its casting and reuse time can be modified by everything.

I don't really feel like I gave up much AoE dps too spec it. Like my dps on stuff like palace trap mob or mobs like Field General and Ykesha havn't gone down at all with manaburn. If anything all those parses have gone up some.

And yeah Traks gaze is nice to click before a manaburn if i'm like over 50 on the threat meter, tho even at 50 most of the time you get away with it.


Tbh the main thing I don't like about Manaburn was giving up by 11.5k+ hp lol. Though its not bad, only lose like 700 hp doing it. I would have lost more but, this is the first time since TSO release I actually bit my tongue and spec'd the Power & Health options for the TSO general AA line. I used to do Hp & Mount Speed. I like riding my horses faster =(
