The New Parse Thread!

You can count my parses as casual wizard parses - I'm from the family frendly guild, not hardcore at all. More that 50 accounts with attendance from nearly 100% to 10-20%. Raid setup is pretty random sometimes (you can see it in group descriptions). I have no loot from contested mobs at all and the list of my current gear is provided on the page 7 - nothing very special.
And 4-5K is not so bad - this is a good start. Just keep pushing everyone in a raid to put necessary debuffs on mobs and try to get troub all the time . Fury is not needed for dps at all - get inq, templar or shaman with ancestry.

If you don't mind me asking, what is raidwide DPS for your casual guild? I think we're missing some debuffs or not putting the right one's on the mob. I seem to be right up there with the asslings (passing sometimes, mostly just under them). Gimp gear (you can see what I have on), but my percentages are comparable. I would post a parse but I don't want to be flamed hehe.

Ah I get told this by so many wizards. I certainly am not going to flame anybody for presenting their dps attached with a parse breakdown. Sure I and others may provide (hopefully) constructive criticism if theres any to be made but, I tend to delete just the flat out retarded flaming within a parse thread if it even occurs.

Nobody is expecting each wizards posted zonewide to top the previous posted one for any given raid/instance by another user. Usually the players though will post their own progression of parsing better in raid zones/instances they hit a lot. I mean before I got a buttload of gear I was zonewideing 4 - 5k in PR with good setups. Nobody just started out parsing 8k zonewides off the bat and I don't think anyone here expects that from every player.

You said yourself you would like to see more casual parses but, all the casual players have the same mentality you mentioned - worried like they will get flamed and told they suck. Not the case at all. It's nice to see results from the full spectrum of players, not just the smaller top %. Group setups and gear make big impacts and are always taken into consideration when examining numbers.

Even the all feared Pinski gives contructive advice for illys who post rather low parses asking 'wtf is with my dps?'. Don't be scared of your fellow wizzies, I'm sure only help can come of it.

Maybe we can make another parse thread Dakkota.. something for people who want to show parses to get help. We can keep this one for the milestone parses... just a thought. what do you think?

Generally you won't get flamed for posting parses unless you do stupid shit like cut stuff out. Post full zone wides (or specific nameds if it is of a different type of encounter) and if you want help people will usually help.

Edit: The thing is though, the more information you give the better. Group, gear, buffs, these are all very important.

This parse thread is fuckin ancient as it still has EoF stuff. I certainly have no objection to starting a new thread of parses. With a new xpack in a few months to were about to have parses dating 2 xpacks ago. I'm down for anything that'll bring life to the board =)
