Trixy cane makes manaburns a joke, don't even need a mystic =)

The only thing worth a damn to spec in the wizard tree after dropping Manaburn would be maxing out Solar Wind so that its at maximum recast (8s). And grabbing fireshape so that the two green AoE's proc it during aoe fights. I'd have to try further but its pretty damn hard to out-do a 100 - 140k nuke that casts in under 4s. Pretty damn tough

What I love fireshape for is on AoE mobs I can drop Furnace of Ro and debuff the entire aoe group by an extra 1.3k of heat and then start dropping nothing but heat damage on them. Although I'm pretty certain you can spec manaburn and fireshape without much trouble. In due time i'll probably go back to a mirror and try em out difference places. But I always kind of liked manaburn for aoe fights cause theres so much proccing going on, all I have to do it get 1 aoe spell off after manaburn and power just starts shooting up generally. So in between some aoe's I'd just drop 130k, then continue on the aoe cycle. But yah, its all about having solar wind on max recast, that spell is $$ for aoe fights and I basically casting everything based around hitting Exo and SW asap.

But yeah, for junk like palace trash, its really hard to spec somethign better than manaburn for things like that. Even ToMC with those group named mobs of 3, to be able to aoe the shit out of them and top it off with a 135k manaburn just explodes the parse and does waaaay more damage than throwing in a couple extra solar winds or procing a bit extra surge of ro imo

This is a lot of speculating though as I don't have first-hand experience with Manaburn much in TSO...but theres time I know i'd have hit it cause I'd say in ToMC I don't see the true benefit of spec'ing the extra AoE capability in the EoF tree until mobs like Gynok where I'm just jamming my aoe's for 10 min straight. WTB respec mirror dakkota can carry in her pocket :D

How's everyone doing comparred to other classes in TSO? In my raids, I constantly getting my ass handed to me by the scouts in my guild, primarily the assassins. Anyone else have the same problem?

I don't think i'll get beat as much when I have my 4th line fully spec'd and manaburn back in action. I feel gimp now compared to what I know i'll be with more AA's. College is out though so im hustlin!

Although I have the cane, I never had the pleasure of a mythical mystic in group. I believe the spirit tap proc has been nerfed now, no?

And due to my company getting tons of work this year I havent had alot of free time other than raids so my AA is still miserably low. I havent even cracked 160 yet.

Only thing i really threw out the door was the STR line.

as far as parses, I'm seeing our main assassin still ahead by a K. was gonna post last nights palace, but the troub kept going LD =(

locks are definetly doin well, there are pulls for em to flex on now. And thats alright. Wizards still own single targets, and adds die fast.

where do you steal the 21 aa's from? o.O

EDIT: nvm. But thats not the typicall 'fire and ice' spec because you could be lacking lots of points in the aoe spells for AA. But yah you can still get fireshape rather painlessly

Posting this parse - yeah I know *not great* but it's one of my better runs I think.

PR plat run for guild hall. Nothing special in group except troub and no real raid gear (only been 80 a few weeks) - only epic no myth yet.

Choker, T2 Shard Shoulders, MC cloak - best instance gear as far as I can tell.

~60% crit 990 BOE

Any input is appreciated.

get more crit/fc.
cast Surge of Ro if Velium Gift is not up.
cast BoM more often.
as well as more Exo on the Multi-Encounters, maybe your tanks will cry, if they do, you did everything right ;)

Hah. Anytime I hear someone whining about me pulling aggro, I smile a bit.

Edit - Also, I'm somewhat confused about what is being done. Is the new "thing" to spec fireshape and iceshape, drop iceshape/VG one fight, and drop fireshape/FoR the next?

I personally was just ancy to spec the new AA's so I stole the nice 21 AA's from manaburn for the early start and prolly wont spec manaburn until I have kill out most my TSO tree + afford 21pts to MB. I prolly won't respec it personally until 196 - 200 AA's, if I do. Thats my story atleast!
