To be honest, my rants were written totally excluding and forgetting the part about what they were doing with our AA spells. It occurred to me the day of the update what happened to our AA spells and I actually was really pleased and yes, I am kind of happier with where things are now. AoE fights can't be won by happening to have all the sickest dmg procs etc. And hailstorm hits like a fuckin truck now. And yeah over all what some others said, wizzies still dps like monsters but now its a lil more dependent on cast order verses slamming the mob with 4 - 7k procs constantly.
Anyway, did my first palace raid in like 2 months today so it felt good to throw down some dps again and be raiding. Also was interesting doing it post GU52.
Group was Wizzy/dakkota/mystic/illy/troub/SK. I had UT.

As for gear setup post GU52 - Only thing I changed was I replaced my Blackened Band with Najenas Ring. And if I have UT or TC I swap in the void touched symbol instead of trixy cane. (trixy cane used to be pro as hell because most cast speed buffs, even Robe of Alkabor, had 0 effect on AA granted spells, but trixy capped em out...so it was pretty leet regaurdless of buffs...but now even Robe of Alkabor affects them so...yeah)

ps. FWIW The last Palace trash ZW I had from a couple months ago was 17.4k. So I can't say I saw much of a drop at all, I seem to still be capable of the same numbers.

So dps is a bit less gear and a bit more 'skill' thing ) All in all in reality nothing had changed for us in most cases.
