im curious how you all do on zarakon. We downed him for the first time yesterday and i hit just above 9k i think, will have to check parser im to tired now, but is this a decent parse for that fight? i scrolled back like 30pages and didnt find a single zara parse from anyone so it made me curious. I got vision 1 time and my group got the add twice if that helps. ill pull up a parse of it and post in the morning so you all can see more detail.

problem with zarrakon is, that act doesn't parse that fight correctly because of the special adds, but don't know if it's been fixed

maybe on german servers it does, but at least on US and russian servers it was working fine.

I never was a huge fan of Zarrakon because hes too random. It's like, oh hey look at my parse...I didn't get any vision or adds! It's hard to benchmark that fight just cause any stupid shit can happen and some fights in this game can kinda depend on how leet your group cures are. Too many factors that I can't control...I can still do good, but if I do good its per luck and other factors out of my control moreso imo.

I can post some up tho next time we do him I think!

This is true with quite a few named encounters honestly.

Everyone has to deal with the circumstances, I don't think because the specific fight sucks means you shouldn't post parses. I posted quite a few parses from Tangrin and Trak back in day /shrug.

Yea but Tangrin didnt have an asston of random factors that fucked you up. The major thing about that fight was having to move + the fear. However, the fear hit everyone. The other thing was the damage shield stun..

With a lot of these new fights there are so many damn things that can easily kill your dps.

On Zarrakon alone, you can:

1. Get Purple vision
2. Get Predator vision
2. Your group has to kill the add
3. Random arcane that fucks your dps up

I've had fights where I'll start by getting some vision, followed by the nasty stun through some curse, followed by massive interrupts from the normal AE's followed by some other vision bull shit... its getting old tbh.

I know, and I mean I can still throw down decent parses, even if I get vision and an add. I just mean when you look at a parse you kind of interpret it to the wizards skill/style of gameplay or w/e that equated to their performance. Tangrin wasn't too bad because it really relied heavily on your own ability, healers just kept you alive. Trakanon though is just like zarrakon only, everybody is screwed. The damage shield that raped your dps wasn't curable iirc so its not like it was in anyone else hands, let alone yours, to excel your performance when your getting chained with an uncurable, dps raping, damage shield trigger. I guess my bone to pick with those fights is lots of personal skill gets thrown out the window and your in the mercy of others and random effects now.

I'll post some up, not making excuses Just my opinion on those types. Illllllllll throw up a zarrakon when I think of it! <3
