Wizard or Warlock for T8 Solo & Raid play

I'm playing a wizard after previously betraying from a warlock, i'm loving the gameplay so far, but one thing that's caught my mind and what i've been thinking about is who would be the better option for solo'ing through the RoK zones, i plan on doing quite alot solo, and only grouping when the quests/zones require it, i'm currently level 58, so i'm not too far off of it, but if betraying back to a warlock is something i should consider, i will do so.

I prefer hitting high numbers, it's a bit of a disorder i suffer from, thus being why i chose the wizard over the warlock, i switched at 56, so i havn't been playing the wizard for long.

My main question, or everything i've previously said, put into short terms.

What would find solo'ing through the RoK zones easier, but also be a viable addition to raids, i understand there is hardly any encounter based mobs in most high end raid zones, is this correct or is it falsely heard information that has found a way into my mind?

its been said over and over again, spec for max dps, kill mob before mob kills you

That really doesn't help the question i asked, although thanks for replying at the least.

My main question is what would be the faster, more effient solo'er through RoK, Not "haow du i keel a m0b?"

You basically answered your own question.

Wizzy has higher damage single target nukes.
RoK is almost all single target mobs.

I have a friend who is both a wizard and a mad quester (Mazah, 1st worldwide) : he's got 2 spec, one for raids / DPS and one for hard solos.
The first one is full DPS of course and well known, you'll find it easily in the posts here. When I solo I change 2 pieces : SMR robe for power regen and I also drop the neck chocker that drinks my life too much.

the second one is much more protection orientated because when you run solo deep down in a dungeon your main idea is not to die ! : manashield max, tinkered stuff (FD/pacemaker) and protection gear (there are some 10 pieces of gear that provide displacement or similar effects) ; I also use them when I go with an alt group, because I'm not a good tank with DPS gear ;)

i should run vp some..
also like the rok lower raid set 3 set bonus for regenerating ward and having one of those incarnadine tablets to proc it kinda nice having that extra stuff up all the time

I am biased, but I would say Go back to a Warlock! There are a lot of encounter based fights in TSO Raids and instances that will allow you to use your group hits and own on the parse. Also, most good warlocks can outparse and keep up with wizards even on single targets when they have the right buffs....Warlocks FTW!

I can certainly appreciate locks on a large ae encounter. The best ones can definetly outshine anything I can do. And TSo has quite a few good times for them.

But your info is not 100% true. Single targets are my bitch. If you own your wiz on them, then he is a slacker.
