DMG vs T3 Gloves ???

So I have a question about the choice between 2 pieces of gear.

Dark Mail Gauntlets or Ethermage's Flamespun Gloves (T3)?

I am having a hard time deciding between proc based stats vs constant stats. Please keep in mind this wizzy only has 16 days played on him, I used to be a Ranger before I rerolled on another server. So I am still learning

Dark Mail Gauntlets
+48 Intelligence
+25 Stamina
+25 Wisdom
+175 mana

+706 vs disease
+706 vs poison
+75 Damage
+4 Damage Spell Crit Chance
Mitigation: 301
Darkened Celerity (1.8 times a min, 15 sec proc for 5% to cast time and base damage)

Ethermage's Flamespun Gloves
+46 Intelligence
+28 Stamina
+10 Strength
+180 mana
+145 health
+798 vs mental
+1260 vs poison
Mitigation: 179
+4 Critical Mitigation
+70 Damage
+4 Damage Spell Crit Chance
Sorcerous Alacrity V (5% constant reduction to cast time)

Don't swap out dmgs until you get 4 pcs of t4.

I agree : DMG are better, till you need the T3 gloves for 4th(or +) piece of the set.

dmg will net you like 2.1 base and 2.1 casting speed or something. Base is worth it alone.

Yeah, I am still trying to figure out what combo is better. I have a full set of T3 plus the T4 cuffs and DMG and the Hood of Dark Dealings. I hate to give up the 5 piece T3 bonus of +5 base damage but can't decide which of the other non-T3 to use or if I should give up on the 5 piece bonus and use all three. If the stupid naga in PotAO would finally drop the boot pattern then I would give it up without another thought.

Well I have had my dmg's for a few days now and when in raids man they proc alot. I am definitely liking them, thanks for the heads up.
