I'm outside enjoying a smoke, looking at a near cloudless sky, and a friend text messages me about a band he wants to see tonight. 3 years to thirty, and my obligation instead is to sit glued to my monitor in a raid zone that everyone seems to dread, pining for the favor of an RNG to save me from this brown robed shit I call my "min/maxed character".

It wasn't Second Dawn who failed me (these guys and gals are cool as fuck), it was the game. I just got worn out with the stretching rubber band between what's fun and what is practical, and where this game is bent on remaining. I don't need to fight anymore, I win by walking away. There are other games out there, and the one I want hasn't been written yet. This is your mud fight now.

Gallenite seems to me a sincere guy and a genuine advocate of this game, but there's only so much perfume you can spray on shit, and only so many ways to scaffold what was a bad design from the start.

As for my successor, I loved this site but right now I can hardly give a shit. I'd nominate Renaven but it seems I know nothing about him, other than that his guild leaders would probably hold a knife to his throat to delete the wizard forum thread about TC/Synergism buffing. If you want that, then proceed through door #1.

Best of wishes to LFG and the fascinating friends I made over two years' time. May my enemies graduate high school, be driven from the game, and forced to get RL jobs. May the humble noobs keep a stout heart and not fear the wrath of raiders, for they are in denial and slowly going extinct genre-wide. May those who left before me keep their dignity, solve their real lives, and not grovel their way back. May whoever designed X'Haviz's Gown of Glory find himself without a job (oh, the immaculate hate!). May Dehah, the smartest motherfucking wizard I have ever had the honor to talk to, forgive me for leaving Club Fu to join Amend. May every beautiful woman who double-clicked her mouse to me hourly, instead direct their insatiable lust to LFG. And may the lurkers speak up finally.

My characters will be available on The Bazaar. Like Tater, I too don't want an excuse to come back.

Well bud, I'm sorry to see you go. You've been a good friend since the beginning days of EQ2 on Blackburrow, when I used to make your AD3's on my sage. Remember that time we made your Ice Nova AD3, we were both marveling at the amount of damage it stated lol.

Anyway, I always respected your skills and damage in game, because I played with you in both Club Fu and then Amend. My only regret was wishing you had sent me a tell and asked me before you left Fu to go to Amend. I would have shared with you at that time that I didn't think it was a good idea, and that at that point, Amend was well beyond the beginning of the end. I didn't hang too long after you joined, and went over to Disso on Nek.

I hope you find what you are looking for and have a long and successful life. Me, I'll probably still be here doing what I like to do best, which is arguing on the Internet.

Illuminator has nominated Renaven to take over as Class Leader of this forum. I'll contact Ren and see if he wants the job. I hope he does. If for any reason he doesn't, I'll ask Illum for a second nomination, if that is not forthcoming for any reason, I'll go ahead and open nominations from this class at large, and we'll have a vote if desired.

I wish I had decided to sell my chars when I quit, instead of leaving them danging out there. No matter, what anyone says about you, definately you were passionate about the game, and advocated for some needed changes, and of course your not the only person to realize SOE doesn't give a shot about raiders, so unfortunately we deal with the short end of the stick. That is what originally led me to try VG, but we all know where that led .

Great job trying to weed out those platfarmers as well
