Some noob was spamming the 10-19 channel the other day saying he'd pay 20 gold per person to start a guild in Qeynos. I had a new kerra monk alt that I had just created that needed some money for gear. She wasn't guilded yet so I couldn't use the guild bank and they only needed one more person, so I said I'd show up because it seemed faster than mailing her money from one of my other alts.

So I get to the guild register and there's a bunch of people standing around. The guy screws around with the guild creation interface for a few minutes while we're all wondering why it's taking him so long, and he says that the name they picked was too long and he neeed a second to think up a new one. So what does he come up with?

<(name) and (name)'s Uber Guild>

Trust me, the only reason why I'm not giving the names is because I don't remember what they are.

And I'm on Antonia. /sigh

I remember some poor sob advertising not long ago for his guild (he was the only left in the guild after the GL left/robbed it named "Knights (or something like that ) of queynos" ; small "q" and an additional "u".

After getting flamed 3 nights on row on the channels for having one of the most important names of this game mispelled he just abandoned it. Was only guild level 8 or something. But he was funny, he tried to defend that the name is not important and asked if you rather want to be in a happy guild with a misspelled name or in an unhappy one with a correct name

I didn't see if anyone had mentioned, but I can't stand it when someone wants to or actually does name the guild they start after themselves?

one of my friend's alts guild is named after herself...but she has like 80 alts....so I guess it's for more of an identification purpose.

An alt guild or a single person making a guild named after someone I don't have a problem with, but I just think it's kinda stupid if it's named after one person... What happens if/when they leave???
