As the afore-mentioned Templar, and living in the same household as the Illusionist and Brigand, I would like to clarify why we left Velocity. The situation with Gareg was not the only reason, although the way that was done was definitely not right. The leadership of Velocity let Gareg re-join us without getting any input from the membership, and now they want me to believe that their concern over the memberships feelings was what made them kick him out? I really think not.
My main problem with the guild leaders was how they were treating the long-time members. The people who stuck with the guild for years, through all the time we barely had enough people on-line for 2 groups for a raid. The people who came into the guild and crafted, did writs and gave of their time, energy and even their plat. The ones who held the guild together when I was sure it would fall apart. Now, because of someones idea to become a "High End" raid guild, the officers brought in a bunch of new people...and recruits, or near recruits are being given preference over the senior members for raid spots, and even guild leadership positions. This is totally unacceptable to me. If stepping on friends is what it takes to become an "Uber" raid guild, I want no part of it.
And Probed....we hadn't even finished talking when you guys put on the web-site that Velocity was recruiting a Templar, and Illusionist. (Evidently 1 Brigand is enough for the guild- didn't feel the need to replace him?) Couldn't you even wait til we left the guild? That was really cold in my opinion. I thought you had more tact than that. So much for caring guildies, eh Mr. Ferns?

To the rest of the guild, I thank you all for making my time in KotC very enjoyable. I will miss you all.

When Velocity was formed, it was made clear that raid attendance would be looked at when getting invites to raids. The way we look at it is why outfit a casual raider when we could be outfitting someone that wants to raid.

This is actually one of the main reasons why we formed Velocity!
Every time there was a raid we were 1 or 2 groups shy of a raid.
I like the idea of raiding current content, instead we would still be raiding KOS zones.

You act as if you have no idea what guild you left from...
It sounds like you are upset because KOTC suddenly changed.
IT DID! We reformed into Velocityto become a raiding guild, not a casual family guild. You knew what what we expected way before you joined.

If you mean not letting your son in the raid because his attendance was sub 28%, then ok.

We were recruiting healers way before you decided to disband from guild.

was it as cold as letting 20 people that were ready to raid sit, because you were upset that a family member didnt get into raid?

Once again the guild you left was Velocity not KOTC.

Here we are again with the "We"..who is this mysterious "We"? I know I was never asked my opinions about forming this new raiding guild. So, "we" did not decide to do anything...YOU and a few select buddies decided.

Oh, I do know what guild I left...a reformed (your word not mine) KotC. As Frog so nicely put it..KotC v2.0. I did not join..was just moved into Velocity. And, yes...I could have stayed in KotC, but why? Noone was left there, it effectively became an alt-guild. I decided to give it a chance, and see what happened with Velocity. (Unlike some who were smart and bailed immediately)

No..Dorian not being let into that raid was only the tip of the iceberg in that respect. There have been plenty of others since we moved to Velocity that have been left out. All long-time members. People who have been trying to change for the good of this guild...whether it was attending more raids, or working on their strategies for game-play. Yet, some still were not able to get into raids...recruits picked first.

And where were you doing this recruiting from? A different web-site?? I was on the web-site right before the raid started, and noticed there were no classes being recruited at that time. After telling you I was not up for raiding that night, I went back to the site, and there it was. I'm assuming that was your doing Lupe...since you are the web-site guy. Maybe I should have directed that statement to you originally...Couldn't have waited til we even left?

I was upset about how you, and the rest of the leadership "team" were treating people...not just my family member. You and the rest of your little dictatorship "clique" had just kicked Gareg out of the guild...and were busy stepping on the next person to make this new raiding guild. Feeling pretty good about yourselves for making the new guys happy. And yes...the rest of the guild had to wait 5 minutes while I talked to you guys...which was not my idea, remember, but cold?...no. I have spent more time waiting on people than most. Oh yeah Lupe...you haven't even been around for most of the time, have you? So you haven't spent much time waiting on others.

Yes...I left the reformed KotC...and Knights was very enjoyable to me. Spending time even muddling through a raid zone with a raid that was not perfectly balanced, and lacking people was fun. Why?? Because you were spending time with the people you liked...not just out to get uber loot, or the fame that comes with being one of a few guilds to kill a mob.

I was strongly against DKP transfers.
The officers, including Gareg thought it woud be best.

...and I'm not faulting you, we have talked more since I left then probably before.. as a whole though , looking outside the box. the word "Reformed" doesn't seem to fit a complete description as much as "renamed".

Lupe you are their shinning star and all the problems I might have with certain people I hope it works for you.. I want to see you catapult as a necro and as a raider.

You are a kind and cool person and it sucks this shit happened. You give a lot to kotc, now velo and even support for another guild, how many people can we honestly say would do what you do? I like ya and wish I could still duel ya and compete on parses but my comments about velo as a whole while the majority of the controlling stake remain so must my comment.=p

Yes, WE the officers decided to start a NEW guild, a raiding guild! You had a choice! you could have stayed in KOTC.

You did not join? what the hell are you talking about!? You had to have joined Velocity, no one has the power to just move characters from one guild to another... The reason noone was left in KOTC was because, guess what... They wanted to RAID. and for the record no one bailed immediately.

As I stated above, in order to raid with velocity as an ACTIVE raider with a guaranteed spot is to have good raid attendance! Recruits that are attending raids are key classes and have 98% or better attendance.
I dont like to see friends sit out on raids, but if we allow them to raid whenever they decide to get online, its not fair to the person that has put his hard work into being at every raid. So what your saying is billybob logs in and has a 28% raid attendance and jimbob logs in and has 98% raid attendance we should just let billybob raid and tell jimbob tough shit billybob is oldschool! I think not.

I just administer the web page... I have allot of other things that get my attention. I was slacking on keeping the recruitment module updated, and your situation made me remember.
