That is the crux of some of this I would think. The officers. How many outside the officer's circle do you think knew you were planning on making a complete new raiding guild?
Being online, either idling or actually playing, more than many of the members, at least more than those mainly showing up for the raids we did do with KotC (Knights of the Cataclysm for you non-Crushbone people

), I had gotten that you were thinking of it. I think those of us that perhaps are playing a tad more than it is good for our own good caught the rumors of you thinking of doing it. Despite that, it still came as a complete surprise to me when you all suddenly left KotC and pushed and dragged people over to your new Velocity guild.
Before this, Llaw, being guild leader, made one, 1, post on the guild forums where he made a poll and wanted to hear people's opinions on a new guild name.
To quote this one post:

There have been a lot of discussion about this subject. Wether it's been between officers, or members online when the subject gets brought up. Here are a few names that the leadership has come up with. Listed is the name, and description of each option. Please vote on what you feel would fit us the most. And, please keep in mind, this poll will not choose the raiding guild's name, only give us feedback of names that are liked.

Nowhere did he state, for those that hadn't caught some of the chit-chat in guild and teamspeak, that this new guild was to be a semi- or full-time hardcore raiding guild.
Nowhere in that post did he state "we are making this guild when the poll runs out", he even went as far as saying it was just to "give us feedback".
You had just pruned the KotC's guild roster with moving every alt to a brand new alt guild. You had just kicked every character offline for more than a month. And then, with the name poll 1 week old, you go and make this new guild, with the name of the "winning" votes. So KotC was now to be made the alt guild, making the other alt-alt guild obsolete, and making every member not online during the first big initial move wondering what had happened.
I hope you're not surprised a few of us were a tad annoyed.
And if you didn't want to join this new guild, what were your options you say? Stay in KotC, the new alt guild? No, thank you.
Llaw specifically told me in tells when you all brought me along for the 2nd raid as a brand new Velocity guild, that I could either move over like the rest of you, or not expect to be invited to any further Velocity raids. He specifically told me nobody from KotC would in the future be brought along on your raids. But he obviously didn't care if you brought along members from other guilds that were not in KotC, since potential recruits are so much more important than petty "alts" after all.
If you ever wondered why I left that raid about half an hour into it, only having payed half attention to what I was doing, and then left the guild, there is your reason, but why should you care why I left? One less non-crucial class to try fit into your already overbooked raids.
As for the original topic, I didn't really know the two people mentioned (Gareg (guardian) and Crazey (berserker)) too well, and I left before any of these issues surfaced, so take this for what it is.
They both had done all the encounters with other guilds, however Crazey doing them already as a tank, and not as a ranger (Gareg's former main), had a little more first-hand tanking-experience with these encounters, and from my impression they seemed to be accepting each others input fairly well.
Seeing it from the view of a so-called dps class I know it gets frustrating when you grab aggro if you do an encounter/aoe spell too quick, and as such I personally think Berserkers have it easier than Guardians with holding aggro for those multiple-mob kind of encounters.
On the other hand, seeing it from the tank's perspective I would assume it is equally frustrating to lose aggro that quick to an over-zealous mage or scout and easy to get a little high-voiced in teamspeak/ventrilo/whatever if it should lead to a raid wipe.
From the healer perspective I personally find a guardian a tad easier to heal, though, since Crazey was and probably still is better geared than Gareg, that healer perspective didn't really matter much.
Now, with that said, I personally didn't have any issues with any of the mentioned tanks, but can easily understand if issues did occur with other people.
All in all, I really think you with those fancy shmansy officer icons, should really improve your rate of broadcasting to other places than /officer chat and teamspeak/ventrilo. You should have learned by now that a lot of people leave both the game and teamspeak/ventrilo as soon as the raid is at an end. You should have learned that with the lax rules for showing up on time people would miss any pre-talk while waiting for the rest to show up, and that a lot of people are semi-afk during those times and would easily miss anything said.
And as for Llaw, for the good of the people still in the guild, please make another person co-leader! You can't honestly expect to lead a raiding guild when you show up once in a blue moon. I know you had and have a lot of real-life issues to take care of, but instead of leaving the officers apparently hanging there waiting with any major decisions because you want to be supreme ruler, then catch up on them all in a rush because you want them out of your sight as fast as possible when you have a few days of spare time, is really not a good way to lead a guild, in my opinion.
I just really hope that despite all my doubts you did keep in touch with the officers some other way than in-game and the guild forums. I also hope you will be less stubborn with your future wife.
As I said with my parting words for those that actually did wonder why I left, I wish you, and still do, good luck with the guild, but I didn't want to be any part of that kind of guild any more, and especially not when I didn't like the guild name either.
