If a guild hosts a public raid, they get to make up their own rules to the raid. There is no bill of rights for public raids. They made up their rules, they told you the rules, you raided. 1 person can do that, and I have seen them do that where their rule is, if X item drops, I get it, otherwise y'all can roll. Actually the looting rules were posted before zone in. So we made people aware of how it was going to be run.

The way looting was being done wasn't a good idea and I'm not saying
I agree with it, but it was announced before zone in how it would be done so if you didn't like it you could have left.

The way dkp worked and was issued was spammed, but it wasnt explained.

Your leader only said "5dkp legendary, 10dkp fabled - everyone has 20dkp that you have been issued now."

It wasnt until we were about an hour in that when I questioned why its dkped Niyonn explained that DoA members can bid all thier guild dkp and thats up to like 500dkp. That wasnt explained in the initial rules of the raid at the start, and when I found out how it was being worked I left (had to sleep at somepoint).

Fair play if the rules are laid out at the beginning then I could live with it, or leave at the start as you suggested it... but that wasnt the case.

The full extent of the rules werent laid out by the leader at the start, and he decided to miss out the crucial fact at the start that DoA members can easily piss all over the max 20dkp bid of a public person.

Its a shit system that was meshed together to favor DoA, either way you look at it. I think someone else already said it but... for a new raiding guild that is recruiting; that is one definate way to drive away potential 'decent' recruits.

Maybe its just the social downfall of MMORPGs, but in the 'good old days', guild greed on that scale wasnt as common as it is today. Especially with a zone that 80% of the raiding population in the game has farmed.

My advice to DoA is either stick to guild raids or do publics properly. And if your insistant on doing this shitty dkp thing then make sure everyone understands that you guys can outbid the public people as easy as it is to for me to pull a 10 dollar hooker from the bus stop, and they almost definately arent getting any loot because at least someone in DoA will need it because you guys are new.

Ill post the log tonight to show you how stumped Niyonn was when I confronter 'her', I could tell she knew it was a shit set up just by the way she'd answer to me. She didnt prove a point or defend my attacks to the system whatsoever.

Anyone who thinks your system worked is an e-tard and should have the below insignia branded onto thier forehead.

The system in itself is fundementally flawed.

10 DKP for Fabled and 5 for legendary?

So, from what I've seen its 20 DKP for 1 raid.

Come on, even if they bid on an item and get it for 10-15 its still a net gain.
You should make those bitches PAY for the item.

the direction i think that GAD and DOA are going in is a good one it opens up content to various casuals to maybe experiance a raid maybe get a peice of loot and maybe know that ok raiding just isnt for me. their DKP system wither it be flawed or not is based upon opinion. the only people's opinion that really even counts with their DKP system is their members others really have no say. Now opening up raids for others and actully offering a way for the REALLY CASUAL NOOB WEEKEND WARRIOR to earn points twords "upgrades" on a no regular attendence basis is a very nice addition to their guild. its nice someone is willing to put time into doing DKP for uber noober number 234234 that dosnt even belong to their guild.

i see to many of these posts and i hear to much about people bitching ab out or even leaving guilds over loot and this is another one of them posts. looks like once again some unregonized nooblet feels jacked over some peice of loot and has to come and draw drama where no drama is needed.

Rules and how shit will be done is usually stated at the beginning of each hosted // PU raid and if you go on that raid knowing what is going on then you have no right to come and throw a hissy fit when you dont get your way.
