Anyway I think that all I was trying to point out with this thread is that some people do not draw a line between the importance of the game and peoples real lives, Yes ultimately this is a game but IT is not just a game because you are playing with real people and in alot of case's you form real friendships over this game.

Some people prioritize those friendships and some people prioritize the Loot they can get and the zones they can complete. So really it just depends on what kind of person you are and who you choose to follow. When I started GAD and then DOA yes I wanted us to be able to raid but My highest priority was the people that I have formed friendships with within those guilds.

I did not feel this was the priority of 2 of the officers that seemed to be the most in control at this point and I chose not to be in a guild that puts the loot and the raid zones above the people. IE saying fuck any pickup people we'll take all the gear for us.

Key word PEOPLE. I dont agree with treating people like shit wether they are strangers or guild mates. by No means is everyone in DOA like this, There are a lot of people in that guild that I have watched give away master after master, to help there friends. That doesnt change the fact that mentality of the new leader's (with the exception of corrin) is take what you can get and fuck everyone else.

You're a classic family guild type and he's a classic serious raiding guild type. Yeah they don't mesh. So the guild choose to put him in charge after you left..he started making decisions for the guild based on raiding needs, cut some dead weight, and upset some of the original family guild types who were in the guild, which in turn is upsetting you. See.. I got this down.

Here's your Answer: Once you leave your guild in someone else's hands..it's in someone else's hands. It no longer becomes your call, no matter what your personal intentions were for the guild. It might make you unhappy to see something you worked for changed so significantly..but that can and does happen when leaders leave their guilds in other's hands. If members are that unhappy, they will leave, and appearently some have..and he'll probably pick up people more interested in the type of guild he's looking to run. It's unfair to come here though and complain about the guy who took over your guild just because he hasn't followed YOUR vision.

It ain't easy being a guild leader sometimes, there's choices and calls that have to be made..and he's obviously basing them on what HE wants the guild to be..and it sure ain't a family guild..but that's his choice now. You left it to people who left it to him. And that's that.

Safia, I think the idea was not about what he's doing now, rather what he did in the past. Niy felt that people should know the kind of person he was, and why she left the guild based on a lot of the things he did. She's angry and hurt like a lot of us are, and she just wanted to get it all out. It doesn't matter what he does with it now - it's just that when she left he basically started going around doing a lot of not-nice things that involved a lot of us that left. There was a lot of crap slinging going around, and I think it was unfair for Niy to just take it in stride like she has ever since he and certain others were in the guild.

A good example of this is the fact that many people don't know the stuff that went on behind the scenes. One of the other people now in charge was once thought to be stealing transmutables from the guild, and Kall was comlpetely 100% behind that idea and going on about how we should watch the other person and force him to give up all the guild's transmuted stuff and have someone set to permanently watch him transmute raid items and write them down etc...yet this person is buddy-buddy with him, probably because he has no idea. This is the stuff Niy wanted to get out, the things she felt people should know. I think she's been pretty much justified in how much she's been upset, but she's moved past it - got herself a new server, new guild and everything

It's just about telling the story, and of course complaining about the bad stuff. That's what this site is for, right?
