Having come from Blackburrow, I have been guilded with the guy who started and leveled Devision/Devilch/Dephier.
I'm not trying to take sides, talk shit about anyone, or get involved in any drama here. I admit I haven't had time to read this six pager. I'm posting this because in scanning this thread, it appears there is some question about whether the guy who transferred to SD on Dephier also owned Devision and Devilch at that same time. He did not, based on my personal knowledge of the situation.
It's kind of wierd I know almost everyone involved in this argument, especially everyone on the Blackburrow side, having been guilded with most of them at least once.
Here's what I know:
I was guilded with Devision the wizard on Blackburrow in the guild Descendants during T5. He sold that toon at level 50 when he quit EQ2 before the end of T5. This toon was never leveled up after that, and is still level 53 on BB.
The same person who played Devision came back to EQ2 around the beginning of T6 as Devilch the brigand. He leveled Devilch from scratch. He joined Amend on Blackburrow on Devilch around the same time I did, about a month after T6 started when Amend formed. He then left Amend about a month after it started and joined Club Fu. He sold Devilch to a member of Club Fu during T6, when he quit EQ2 again to do something else. I know for a FACT he sold each of the previous toons.
The same person came back to EQ2 in T7 as Dephier, the defiler, a toon he leveled from scratch. I know for sure this was the same guy who previously played and sold Devision and Devilch. He leveled up Dephier, and very suddenly left BB and transferred to join SD, without notice to anyone in Fu. I know this because I talked to him after that, I talked to his RL friend Feltrak and people in FU, I'm telling you for sure there was no ulterior motive or plan involving his move from Club FU to Second Dawn.
When Dephier left FU, they lost another shaman at about the same time, and were suddenly stuck trying to raid with just one Mystic and no defiler. This was a huge hardship for them and really slowed down their progression in T7, I remember Feltrak commenting about it several times back then. There was nothing planned or scripted about any of this on Fu's side, I know that for certain. I was in Fu myself between Descendants and Amend, and left on good terms and maintained my friendships with many people in that guild since.
What happened, based on talking to a lot of people involved in the drama at the time, was that Dephier had some sort of falling out with Feltrak and decided he wanted to get away from him and play elsewhere. Dephier joined SD because the opportunity came open for him to join an uber guild, and he had no similar opportunities on BB.
Not too long after joining SD, Dephier did the same thing he did at the end of T5 and T6, which was to become bored with EQ2 again and sell his character. There was no conspiracy here on Fu's part.
