Strion, I asked if you wanted this on a public medium, and your response was definitely not a no... If you call anyone out in public, you have to expect some form of reply, so this is mine.
You claim I gave you no support. This is a long way from the truth. A lot of things were said and done, behind the scenes, that you did not know about.
It is true, I told you that I do not expect a templar in the Off Tank group to parse as high as Main Tank group healers. But there was a number of times you had a necromancer and a bruiser riding on the tail of your heal parses in zones we were having a decent challenge with. When I get rather blunt messages asking wtf is going on, it is hard to defend, but I tried.
There was also a number of occasions I would quadruple+ your zone wide healing. It would be fair to say, because your group had two healers, and I was sole healer, your heal parse should be about half of mine? But given it was usually lower, and a notable percentage of your heals parsed from Glory of Battle procs, you were not presenting notable Healing efforts (or DPS). When people asked me what you were doing, I had no real answer to give, but I tried and asked them to give you time.
I also had to try defending your Templar knowledge, on a number of occasions. You did not know Templars have an arcane ward. You did not know how Sanctuary worked, and thought it was an AE avoid. When you were having massive issues with Blanket/Furious storm (and the related power draining), I suggested you take the KoS AGI line so you can AE avoid yourself, but you did not read the ability description, or use it correctly. It is not easy trying to justify/defend you on all that.
When it evolves to the point that I am asked, "Why are you playing favorites, Avi?", I am running out of justifiable answers in your defense. The leadership of Insidious has to keep the best interests of the guild in mind. Despite liking you as a person, there did come a point where there was only so much I could do. For the reasons that I mentioned above, and more, the decision was made to thank you for your time, tell you it was not working out, and wish you well.
I do hope you remember, the invite/offer that was made regarding you being welcome to re-app in the future, if you became more accustomed with the Templar class... I guess you were not interested.
I am glad you're having fun, and enjoying yourself. That is the purpose of playing a game. I was suprised, to see you write the first post in this thread.
