I found the whole "beta didn't matter we didn't even test Phara Dar or Silverwing" comment to be hilariously hypocritical, as when NPU and SD used to mention they didn't get to test every encounter it was dismissed so quickly by the Disso beta-test weaksauce bandwagon. I almost mourned a bit for your reputation when you were so quick to use that same excuse yourself.

Beta testing can only be attributed to kills for certain Mobs. A notable example would be such as Malkonis, Treyloth etc. Mobs with specific intracacies and understandings that once actually understood either trivialize or greating lower its difficulty.

There is also a diferrent leg up some guilds recieve which is info fed to them by a dev that is in their guild on when certain changes are going to be made which make a mob killable. SOE has a trend of changing mobs in a time reference in order to give the illusion of progression. thats the way in which they do it.

CL had nobody from SOE with us porting us to named. We only made it as far as Milyex (skipping Taskmaster) in VP and we did it alone. Calaglin REFUSED to beta VP without someone from SOE there to help them and port them around to named. To that, I chuckle.

I really don't understand what CL getting test copied as a guild has to do with any of this, but if your going to bring it up...

The truth basis of your comments are that CL "the guild" was copied as a whole over for the sole purpose of beta testing raid content.

About 5 members of Disso were copied over through the actions of LFG giving out random test invites for a "Eq2flames Beta Test Raid Force" so to speak.

At this juncture I completely fail to see whatever point you were trying to make.

The point is as long as Disso continues to play and raid this game, then people will talk about what they are able to accomplish, and in RoK it hasn't been much.

Currently how much more has every other guild defeated that disso has not?

They also didn't clear VP "along the same timeframe as everyone else". LOTS of guilds cleared it before they did, even though they had been in there before them. Because Disso was unable to kill Phara Dar.

Thats actually not true you can try and bend it however you want, but it took us 2 runs with a raid force of 3 groups or higher. You can try and fuck around with when we ran through there with 2 groups just fighting crap so that the people who were not rolled back or there could see the zone.

I brought up being able to kill Phara Dar with one guardian because Tangarth so graciously opened his mouth after Disso finally killed it saying "it was easymode with two guardians and two monks". I guess that is the only way Disso can kill anything anymore, when its easymode. Ah well, everything comes to an end.

We had tested phara dar for maybe a total of 5 hours with 1 guard, 1 zerk, 1 bruiser, 1 monk. The last pull we had with that setup we had gotten her down to 4%, coercer pulls agro, offtanks see this and dont remeber exaclty who but burn rescue thinking Morph died, coercer then dies, 7%, debuff, no way to drop agro, stabalize at 30%, razieh LD, game over.

I was simply the end of the night. The changing of those tank classes were a topic of conversation way before phara dar. If (especially in this expansion) you dont see how utterly superior a Monk is to a Bruiser and a Guardian is to a Zerk, your an idiot.

I quit raiding. there is absolutely nothing to offer. The encounters are static and single layered compounded with poor itemization, there is absolutely no incentive to raid. You can't raid for no loot when the raids are shit.

I kinda wanted to address this by itself. If you are going to try and get me all flipped out by saying I suck its not going to work. Success is 70% preparedness and 30% opportunity. I was prepared and given the opportunity by literally having almost any item i ever wanted into becoming one of the best "face value" players in the game. I destroyed parses and was able to pioneer gear choice options. I took it upon myself since I had this ability to try and breakdown the possiblities for the fury class no matter what level of gear or content being played. I never once turned down people in game who wanted advice or even showed me a better way and gave them credit for it 100% of the time. I'm not sure you will find many if any furies that say I suck.

Obviously the DPS we're doing doesn't matter. With the most amazing illusionist playing the game, captain destroy parses fury, the dirge of destiny, etc etc you guys still couldn't kill shit. I'd think even with the rollback and two groups, the almighty Disso with such amazing DPS from its star players would still be outputting more damage than all these suckass guilds.

I was talking about Disso sucking in RoK, because despite your huge long post to the contrary, kill order matters.

As Ishbu used to say "only the first two or three guilds to kill something matter".

Gratz on not being the first two or three at all this expansion.

I wasn't talking about you personally sucking, the entire post was about Disso and so was the closing statement. Ego until the end! Does it matter if I suck? Obviously not. People have personally attested in this very thread I sucked at bruiser, dirge and now assassin. I've sucked since T5. I've also raided since T5 and I'm currently raiding. So even if you guys are right and I'm terrible I'm hardly concerned. It hasn't affected my ability to raid and get gear since 2004, so why should I worry that it ever will?

The difference between me and the amazing players in Dissolution is I don't even have to be amazing to raid with players like them. I don't have to be like Kall and be the most amazing dirge ever and parse 2500zw. I just have to be me.

Its pretty awesome tbh.

WE ARE THE AMAZING DISSO, HOME TO THE MOST RAID DPS THIS GAME HAS EVER SEEN. DON'T BOTHER APPING IF YOU SUCK (unless you're named Gaige <3)!

People came back because there were continually enough improvements being introduced to make it worthwhile. They won't come back if it has the same problems that made them leave. I always wonder when most people will reach that plateau in their view of the game.
