I specifically mentioned in my letter that Xeather's name was smeared because of my posts, and that they were welcome to strip the toon and her bank for whatever they could make use of.

And I quote:

"Although her name is smeared badly becuase of my more recent posts, no one has been sending me unkind tells or hate mail. Xeather has a home full of cool things. She's a level 80 carpenter, and she has filled
the guild bank with rares and a stash of heart candy for making
special furniture resipies from Valentines day."

I was also really clear about why I was leaving the game for good. It doesn't have anything to do with my character's smeared name. IMO that has zero effect on people's ability to progress in a game or to make friends.

I think it's just easier for my friend to believe that I was trying to trick her into playing a smeared toon than to believe that my letter was sincere.

On this note, I won't be coming back to EQ2 flames. I won't get into a public discussion about "my friend" beyond what has already been stated. I'm sure they will find fault with that action as well. It's a lose-lose situation.

I believe that the truth always comes out in the end, even if the end is a really really really long time away.

FYI, your friend didn't say anything bad about you, she just seemed surprised when we all knew who you were when it was mentioned in guild chat, and she did not know about this thread.

Again, she didn't say anything or bad or that you were tricking her into a smeared toon. She just didn't know this thread existed. If I did something like this and gave my toon to a friend, I would at least show them what happened.
