I don't think it's bad (lotro, that is). It's missing some of the creature comforts I've come to enjoy in EQ2 (server-wide chat channels, real macros), but I like the combat system better: it's more interactive, more engaging.

There are also fewer races and class options, but I don't really see that as a negative. Look at all the neglected classes in EQ2. Each class has its own strength, but you can still get stuff done with an "unbalanced" group.

It's definitely not hardcore though. The death penalty is, um, I forget. I know there's equipment damage (including stuff in your packs), but I forget what else happens. The long run back to where you were is the biggest "penalty."

The "end game" is lacking--or was at least, not sure what's new. Last I heard there was a single x4 zone and a single x2 zone. The group instances at least are long and challenging.

All in all, not a bad game. Could use another year of feature maturation though. I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars right now.

Interesting thread, I feel like important and stuff, funny how people still talk shit about ya even when you don't even play the fucking game anymore.

In response to Xeather, she already admitted the truth. I figure it was more a response to Tristen and Keiria's shit talking about me and Gabrianna during Xeather's 8 hour stint as a member. Sounds like her bad impression of demo came from listening to the rantings of a disgruntled, low performing, low attendance, asshole that didnt like the fact me and gab are fair people and don't play favourites, especially someone that tried to BUY special treatment from every person in the guild with his ******** platz that he regularly bought on a weekly basis.

So folks, wanna know a player who brings all that spam to you, interrupting your gameplay? Send your hate tells to Tristen, he's a regular customer of the bots, and has admitted such in ventrilo to many many people. The guy doesnt wear a single piece of gear that he ever earned.

Why is the guy trashing me and gab's name? Well for 2 months our MA Keiria couldnt manage to get a target during any raid, she regualrly wiped us due to doing noob shit like tabbing, simply not targeting anything at all due to talking on the cell to tristen during raids and not paying attention. This caused our raidwide dps to plummet from 34k to 24k.

Myself and Gabrianna told Keiria that we would be having another member be the main assist but that she would still be offtanking. She flew off the handle, said we stabbed her in the back and that we were screwing her over. She logged and then logged back in 2 hours later and detagged.

Real reason for the mess? Tristen didnt like being held to a schedule, his attendance was shit, he interrupted the raid leader every single raid when giving instructions to the raid force, and would contradict leadership at every given opporuntity because his pussy hurt and he wanted to go play in heroic instances or go buy some more plat so he could buy more fableds from jaraxx. Bottom line he and keiria were a fucking cancer to demolition the entire time they were in it. The funny shit was the very people they would shit talk me and gab to were the ones telling us what they said.

After leaving the guild, they attemped to steal members and form a new guild. they took 2 people and one of them came back in less than 4 hours. Their guild disbanding within 8 hours of forming.

2 weeks later me and gab decided we were just too fucking burnt out, we were tired and had only kept things going over the months for all the loyal members who had stood by us.

We came to the conclusion that all the talent in the game had been sucked up into other guilds. All that was left was rock bottom tier 1 low skilled players that chose classes because they were hard to get by raid guilds. It was just to fuckin hard to teach and train em. Lucan has a low population as is and there just wasnt good pickings anymore.

Do i have regrets? nope. We had a good run, we did alot of shit. We provided a place for those who wanted to raid and see content they might otherwise have never experienced to do just that.

We didn't dominate, we didn't have any WW firsts but we had fun.

I thank every single member who was ever a part of demolition for making that happen for so many people.

I'm playing LOTRO, a game that has 6 times the population of eq2, I'm already in a good raid guild. I have the love of my life Gabrianna with me and my 2 best friends, Gentao and Elyndelle aka Aerowen by my side. For the first time in months i have had fun on a daily basis, kicking ass, taking names with fun people that dont cry fuckin drama in my ear on a non stop daily basis.

Eq2 is a sinking ship, what is left in it isnt worth fighting for.

I did everything in eq2 i ever could have hoped to do.

LOL all i have to say is if i bought gold seeing as how i have plyed eq2 since launch i would have been caught by now... Picks or it didnt happen.

As far as interuppting him on a raid, simple i can only recount one time that happened, and as a senior officer and raid officer of demolition it was my job to know zones and when aethane tried to pull TNT wrong and activate the trap at the start. Thats the only time i interupted him during araid i can think of. As for my attendance i cant be at a raid if im not in the same state as my PC now can i? and i always gave more than a weeks notice....

One thing Aethane never did say was how he abandonded the guild for two weeks without notice logged in 1 time during that two week period so he could play a diff. game!! hello...raid leader/guild leader kinda neded online some of the time, or atleast let the officers know, but hey I held it together during those times.

I read threw all 18 pages and all the worst i said was demo sucked and that you and gabs went to LORTO, i didnt actually talk shit about you So Fuck off you insecure asshole. I was showing you some once of respect by not actually flames you or demo upto this point so just let it die and go back to LOTRO. If people want to know the truth then know this aethane lied to keiria and myself. And in the end thats why i left. But i didnt want bring it up.

Guess I will chime in here. For those of you that know me, I played on LDL for many years, and with the exception of a few who tried to gut my guild, I really did not have problems with anyone. So for me to get on here a actually trash Tristen, something I have never done before, you know it has to be legitimate.

Tristen, I believe, did have some good intentions toward Demolition. I liked him a lot and considered both him and Keiria to be close friends. The real problem is that wasn't enough for them. Because of our friendship, they expected special treatment time and time again. The idea of fairness and making everyone, including Aeth and myself, follow the same rules was foregin to them. Tristen was going through some hard times which I won't discuss here, and we encouraged him to take a short break; hoewver, guild rules stated that if you were online, and we needed you, you needed to come to the raid. It wasn't good enough. In his own words, he told me that because he was my friend, he shouldn't have to do that. His exacts words were "I'm a just man, not a fair one". I ask you, what the hell is justice without fairness?

It was always drama with Tristen. Every night it was something else. And when push came to shove, and we asked Keiria to temporarily step down as MA due to targeting issues and her doing things like frontaling her own healers, etc, they both went ballistic and left the guild. I can respect that, what I could not respect was the way they tried to gut us afterward.

As far as Tristen buying plat, I'm really not one to harass plat buyers, but for you to actually say on here that you don't buy it is outrageous. Basicallly what you tried to do was throw your money around to buy friends and earn favors so you could call them in later to earn special treatment for yourself and keiria. p.s., you were never a raid officer.

Anyway, I hate to say it but I would strongly discourage any guild from involving themselves with either Tristen or Keiria. They are a cancer and so overwhelmed with getting their own way that they are a constant source of drama. Tristen told me himself that he left Mice and Men because they wouldn't make him an officer. What does that say about someone who is so consumed with leading so that they can get themselves into a position to get something for nothing and screwq their guildies in the process.

Oh and as far as the two week off thing you mentioned. We spoke to you frequently throughout those two weeks and was in vent all the time making sure everything was OK. That was a particularly trying time for us and we needed a short break to recover from the bullshit people like you kept putting us through.

Frankly, Tristen, I can only say how disappointed I am that you are such a manipulative, back stabbing, son of a bitch. I only wish I had realized it sooner. Would have saved a lot of late nights putting up with your shit.

Finally, as far as LOTRO is concerned, I love it. The world of Tolkien is beautiful and enchanting. We had been considering leaving for a while but opted to try and stick it out in EQ@ in support of the good, loyal, members of Demolition who had stuck by us. I'd like to say a special thank you to those people now (you know who you are) and encourage you to come try LOTRO out.
