So if there is a swashie debuff master in the bank, but the raiding swashie has no special dkp, a non-raiding swashie can buy it, OR it sits in the bank until somebody has the dkp for it?

Also... I could just buy cheap masters that nobody wants from the broker (templar spell attacks, guardian recapture) for little money, and donate them, thus upping my special dkp?

As long as the system is not abused, I wouldn't mind it. The more important question imo is if you're happy in the guild as a community.

Our Master policy is very simple.

Master / Fabled drops

Anything acquired in a pick up group or solo is at that individuals discretion as far as giving it away or selling it.

If it is a fully guild group, the master goes to whoever in the group may need, if no one needs it goes to guild bank. If multiple people in the guild need they bid DKP on it, if only 1 needs they get it for the base DKP of 1pt. If no one needs it is sold for guild funds.

Raid dropped masters are treated like loot.

Since we provide potions, poisons, and we will assist with the purchase of masters that are raid necessary, it works out well.

Systems that force people to give up earned loot are somewhat rediculous. Allow poeple to decide for themselves what to do with masters...it'll all pan out in the end anyway. I've given away a ton of masters that I've pulled out of chelsith (running the zone solo and having LONG dry spells between exquisites), but let's say I'd have decided to sell them all. Wouldn't that give me the necessary plat to outfit MYSELF in masters/gear and thus make the raid better?

That wasn't the option I went with, but I guess I'm just saying that people are way too touchy on this matter. Do what you want with your masters...

Maybe your guild leader should not be a fucking moron and realize you CANNOT DO DKP WITH PICK UP RAIDS.

I've laughed in every raid leader's face that started a pick-up raid, waited till everyone got there; and then told us we'd all be starting with x amount of points of dkp to bid with. What the fuck? Do I look like I'm in your guild or give a shit about your dkp system? No I'm here to raid and probably get an upgrade if there's one available.

Get an actual core of raiders first, where you don't have to use pick-ups; then they're called "recruits", imagine that. Then you won't have to use some stupid DKP system and you can actually use one that involves, you know, earning it through raiding.. and uh.. bidding?

sounds like someone's overthinking it, making it more complicated than it needs to be, and some people will be turning off guild events, if they stick around.

our guild is "you loot it, it's yours to whatever you want with it" in instances, most of the time they're given to people that need 'em. once in a while no one needs 'em so they're given back to the looter. in raids, though, masters are treated like loot and bought using dkp. seems to work out pretty well for us.
