And therin lies the problem. In a post that I made in the Vetrans forum (specifically knowing that not everyone could see it, as I wanted it presented to a smaller audience than in NGD) I made a constructive argument about NGD. I avoided pointing fingers or calling names, and merely asked if anyone had observed the same things I had seen in NGD (derailing of "serious" posts; the
NEED to always be funny, even if the topic wasn't; obsession with pies and sporks) with minimal moderation on those points that were contrary to the TOS that we all agree to.
I admit it was a post born of bitterness at some moderating that had been done against me, but I hadn't seen done within the walls of NGD. But I tried to keep the bitterness to a minimum.
Within that post, a former NGD regular, juliev, came in and stirred shit, called me and Calaglin names, accused us of scheming together to make this post just to stir shit, and all sorts of other bullshit that eventually led to the thread being locked, and then deleted.
A similar, mocking, post was created in NGD, and I was flabbergasted to watch it go on. It went on, for a while, but I refrained from commenting because I knew I was taking it personally, I was hurt, and I would say something I would later regret, and I would likely get that perma-ban that Echgar had threatened me with on more than one occassion. I sent several angry PM's, and one really nasty report on the thread, and eventually it too was removed.
If my post had been taken with a grain of salt instead of personally, as many of the first posters had done before juliev entered the picture, it would have led to a great discussion that probably would have ended up like things here have, with NGD regulars getting more of an understanding of what we see from the outside, and the non-NGD getting a better understanding of what went on in the inside. But instead the wolves came running, and bit me in the ass. I guess I deserved it, but oh well. The deed is done, the posts are gone, and anyone who didn't see them are probably better for not.

Ok so there's another thing I missed I really am oblivious. Hell I never even really ventured into the Veteran's Lounge b/c I have NGD, Paladin, and Kithicor forums floated to the top when I log in I rarely go elsewhere. So I never knew all this crap was stewing just as I never knew Khalan was banned until coming here. The upsetting thing is that b/c of where I post the most I was some how labeled. Geez I think I've seen worse things happen on Law and Order where people kill each other over dumber shit than this. I know it's hard to believe but I don't think anyone is out to get anyone or undermine anyone or make them less of a person. I think people react before thinking and assume a whole hell of allot and I think interpretation is 9/10ths the problem with most of this hubbabaloo.
