Raven, I just want to apologize for that incident. I wasn't there because I'm a part of the permanent raiders and never went on the pick-up raids but I still want to apologize. One too many times he made people, in the guild or not, try to feel like shit for wanting to roll on loot he wanted, or was wanted by one of his friends. Luckily enough for all of us Sizzar/Shadowburn is no longer in the guild. You wouldn't be the first person to make complaints about him and how he handled loot on those other raids.

For everybody else:
Some people need to understand that becuase our guild is so huge and filled with 70's that not all raids are DC sponsored raids. They might be 80% filled with DC people but it's not a guild sanctioned raid. If Uhide or Melias isn't the raid leader, its not a DC raid force raid, its a pick-up. We allow people like Burly and others to lead their own raids if they want becuase we have so many 70's not all can fit in our one raid a day and a lot get turned away.

Another point I'd like to add is that we accept all non-chineseplatfarming players (and if you know a farmer let me know I'll deal with them personally) in Butcherblock. We hold a firm belief that the people in our guild should abide by common game playing curtesies and are reprimanded if those aren't upheld. We are home to people who are brand new to the game, people who have been here since day one, people from level 1 to level 70 so there are bound to be quite a few noobs, some assholes, and some loud mouthed whores who can't stop chatting in the world chat. Do we kick them out for being noobs? No. We answer their questions and try to enlighten them some. Do we kick out the loud mouthed whore? No! We make her dance on table tops in labs raids while we wait to rebuff after the last wipe.

In conclusion, mock the players individually... not by the whole guild. I like most of the people in my guild, the raid force we have gets better every week, I mean, how many other casual raiding guild are there on BB who raid almost every single night? We manage with the random players we are given each night and still go fight the good fight in the raid zones. At least I can now say we've killed every named in every raid instance of KOS. If you wanna hate Burly or Sizzar or me, hate us as an individual, not the whole guild.

Thanks for being level headed about my post, Jinx - you probably easily could have been pretty angry at me. Since the incident, I've noticed that Sizzar left the guild and I've also gotten to know you a little more through public chat. It seemed to me that someone as down to earth as you wouldn't appreciate what had gone on in that raid.

DC actually does have a lot of nice and talented players in it. Jami's been tanking for my new alt lately; just one example. In any case, you made a good point in hating a player - not a guild. I wasn't aware that the raids that people were calling me for were not guild sanctioned raids. My apologies for dragging DC's name into the mess.

while i didnt know that they were unsanctioned, so the guilds fuckups ran/ were in them, that "ask us and we shall invite" policy does not help your rep, so i will not generalize DC and say that you have certain members who should not be allowed to have children.

While I'm not exactly sure what you are saying here... I did want to point out to others who say we just shoot you an invite when you hit the recruiter button. We totally changed that when I became the recruiter for the guild. You actually have to carry on a conversation with me to get in the guild now. If you can't speak English or answer a few simple questions you won't get in. Sure you can lie through your teeth about who you are but you can't fake being able to comprehend the words I'm typing.

And a nice big apology to all three of those replies back there, the website kept timing out when I was trying to post it so I'd go back to the original post to see if it had went through, then post my reply again. I didn't see a way to delete the replies so ooops!

When I started playing this game and got to the 60 chat back when Strike was here I thought everyone in both those guilds were assholes. I slowly got to know more and more people in AM and realized most were cool and just a little outspoken. I stopped categorizing people by their guild tags and just by my personal run ins with them.

I knew from reading your post why you were anrgy. I'd heard the same kinds of stories from other people. I quickly found out how much of an asshole Shadowburn could be when I won a Dispatch master while duoing Poets. He wanted the master but had no money. I sold it off to someone for a nice chunk of money which then got me a master pet and another rare master I needed. He told everyone on vent he was going to get me kicked from the guild, removed from the permanent raider list and other shit for not giving it to him. My husband was in the vent channel while he was ranting about me and told me everything he said. I lost any and all respect for him after that. Its a game... if someone looted Nightshade in my guild I wouldn't expect them to run give it to me, hell I'd even tell them to go sell it and make em some money. Anyways, off-topic much? Needless to say I was highly relieved the day he left the guild!

Watching Burly post lame ass parse after lame ass parse in the world chat makes me cringe and it's no wonder tons of people think DC is a joke, but its my huge little home and I like it
