I've found this type of thinking isn't actually unusual.

I know my Dirge will get tells sometimes telling her to do her job because she's parsing 800+. When actually, she's debuffing, rez'ing AND DPSing.

there actuallly are mobs, contesteds, and raid zones that certain classes make it so much easier to complete a zone and yes a healer should put some dps during a fight if they have proper mana regen and group buffs mana shouldn't be a problem if your raid is parsing their ass off. lol calling vendetta noobs is just plain stupid if you seen all the acomplishments they have attained to date. I would actually think they know what they are doing.

you know they're talking about Vendetta on Kithicor right? not the vendetta on your server... besides, just because they accomplish alot, doesn't mean they shouldn't be flamed for stuff.

Just a thought but....maybe in their guild the dps is good enough to not have to be backed up by the healers?

There is no such thing. If your healers aren't dps'ing, they are slacking or they suck.

agreed you can never have too much dps raid wide. if the tank can take your sorc and preds etc doing well over 2-3k then it can stand your healers throwing in what they can.

Meh our assasin seems to do just fine when he tanks it also..IE scout tank..not just brig/swash

All Healers should be doing SOME damage. With the right AA's cleric/shammy/druids all have huge dps "potential". If you think as a healer your only job is to stand there and cast your heals, well sir your a fucking moron. It is crutial for healers along with other classes to use all their capabilities for the benefit of the raid/group. Heals, debuffs, damage.....

Ok adding my n00bie 2cp in

As the magetank healer...and usually the ONLY healer for said magetanks...if any healer isn't at LEAST debuffing/casting dot's something is wrong.

I disagree with melee for druids as we're pseudo squishy and cant take as much of a hit as sham/cleric. That said OF COURSE you should be nuking your lil heart out!!!!! Any raid worth being in is gonna have a conj/necro giving out manacrack +manastone+manaregen gear+potions+totems etc ...don't be skurd that you're gonna pull agro *chuckles* worry more about Life/Manaburn ><

Now that i've offered my 2cp..i have a question..now having already admitted to being newish to gaming/raiding..umm..why isn't TC ever given to healers during raid? If i understand TC correctly..and i may not..it reduces reuse timers yes? Seems you'd want the healers to be able to cast group regens etc as quickly as possible? Any honest help with this question is greatly appreciated

Typically it's more beneficial on the mage types than on a healer, especially in a non-main-tank group. The healers for a mage group shouldn't be as actively involved with recasts on group heals and/or cures because they're typically only plying those under AE situations (45 sec timer, 60 sec timer, etc.).

If you were a fury in a Scout-DPS type setup, then TC could be used, as the fury would definitely benefit more from it and be able to dps better, but in a mage group definitely to a mage.
