Hello anyone who cares to read this. This is Tailious, one of the old officers accused of stealing from the guild bank prior to leaving. I found out about this post a few weeks back but have been too busy with RL and stuff to really make time to respond here.
First and foremost, the accusation is a complete lie. We took the GB and split it among any member who was still left in guild (some had left at that point) who had a raid attendance of 50% or greater over the past 90 days, or if we knew they contributed in other ways, such as crafting for people etc… We also had transmuted raws, such as hardened mana, infusion of illusions and illusionary powders. Those items were also split up and mailed to the people on the list. We did not have enough hardened manas to give everyone on the list so we decided to mail them only to the senior members (the officers did not get any manas). The masters that were in the bank were either given to members who needed them, transmuted or sold, all which were split amongst the people on the list.
Knowing that this BS would probably happen and people would make these stupid accusations, I took screen shots of me mailing out the coin and raws to all the people on the list. The list of people was in the mid thirties and everyone received between 15-17plat depending on how the money split up ( I wasn’t sending people 10 different mails with gold, silver, and copper to make it truly equal). People who got a few less plat got more raws etc… but everyone got at least 15 plat and the most handed out was 17. I also took a screen shot of the total coin in the GB before it was removed and if you add up all the mails the total will work out.
Whether or not you agree with what the officers decided that is another story. We did what we thought would be the fairest. We didn’t want to see the GB sit there and the next leadership steal it, or wait for the guild to die out and just keep it all to him/herself as has happened many times in the past with other guilds. Additionally we made it perfectly clear to the membership that this division of coin was only semantics in a sense, as we told everyone who received coin that wanted to stay to re-contribute it back to the guild. Of course this was their choice to make, but if everyone who stayed wanted to make it work should have re-contributed the funds to get the GB up and rolling again.
Anyways Illuminati leadership, myself included, stepped down because we were trying to push for harder content and were trying to do so by making raid attendance and rules stricter and loot gained through raids concentrated on our mains first and not alts. Many of the members did not agree with this push towards higher end content and worked behind the scenes to undermine what we as leadership were trying to accomplish. When push came to shove, we felt that the membership didn’t understand how much hard work it takes to make a guild run and how we needed them to help us and support us, so we gave up. It would not be fair to say that all the members worked against the leadership, because that would not be true. Many people really tried and helped the guild the best they could and we appreciate those people and anyone who knows me knows they can always come to me for help and in fact I’m still in active contact with many of our old members.
