I didn't derail anything you posted your thoughts on how you think skill > anything else.

I posted how I felt that skill isn't always the greatest. How is that not related?

It was AV's decision to remove him and you didn't like how they value something other than skill so you left.

No one has a problem with that.

I wasn't going to respond to this thread, but that argument is the most annoying fucking thing I've ever heard people say.

God forbid people have fun killing shit instead of sitting in a circle, holding hands, and singing Kumbaya. Right? Or are you suggesting being all nice and friendly while disregarding player skill makes mobs just hand over their loot?

If you seriously think I would not enjoy getting called at 3am for a contested, clearing EH in one sitting, or anything else you can think of for that lame argument, you're fucking retarded. To make a career out of it would suggest that we get paid for it, not that we do it for fun.

If you have fun wiping to Malkonis for two hours straight, whatever. I don't.

And this sort of relates to my previous point, so I'll take a jab at it too.
How in the world is skill not the greatest? What the fuck are you going to kill when you have 24 really nice and friendly people that don't have a clue how to play the fucking game? Pretty much nothing.

I thought the point of being in a raid guild was to raid, kill shit, and get loot. Not be all nice and jerk each other off while wiping to easy mobs all night.

Dunno about you fingurs but I don't find wiping for hours on an easy mob to be anything like "fun". Nor do I find it "fun" having to put up with the sort of bullshit that has been going on in AV recently. If I wanted a "fun" guild I wouldn't have pushed AV to be something better than it was. If I wanted a "fun" guild I'd be putting in apps to one of those "fun friendly family" raid guilds out there.

Least you've admitted that AV is a "fun" guild with no desire to be anything more than that.

"Fun" for me is the raid doing 35k+ and holding every bit of that. "Fun" is not having to check my buffs every five minutes. "Fun" is not having to deal with retards who don't have a clue how to tank telling me how I should be doing it. "Fun" is not having to deal with aoe aggro when the swash is barely making the parse. "Fun" is getting in there, killing it, and logging out under 7 hours.

At least that's what it is to me. YMMV.

There comes a point when you have to draw the line. When a person brings down the skill of other players then there is a problem. Then you have to decide is it better to have the greatest player or have a group of good players. Even the greatest players are replacable.

Second Dawn / Fires of Heaven / NPU etc dont ever wipe for hours on end, days even.

I was in Siege. We wiped alot, we kicked ass alot. I was in Second Dawn ( as a recruit ) they wiped a shit ton, and kicked ass a shit ton. Ancient Vengeance is no different.

The reason I mentioned about the career is that imo, you both overplayed this game to no end, that you would obsess over such small crap and get all Paris and Nicole on the rest of the guild.

Whatever floats your boat, but everything you do in EQ2 is by choice. No one forces you to do anything. If you think they are... step away.

Hate to break it to you, but whatever guild you end up in next... will wipe alot.. will have retards, will have cool people.... will have dropouts ( isnt 2nd Dawn the top still, and recruits like a mofo non stop? ) etc... I guess what I'm trying to say......

Let me just say if you're looking for a good guild which is going to be killing Avatars anytime soon please avoid Ancient Vengeance, they treat people like shit and don't kill enough stuff to justify the pain of being part of this guild.

You practically need to make it a career to clear raid content with good players. I'd hope that people would look at the rotten bigger picture but instead we rubberneck the side effects, which includes drama like this.
