Yes, or you can joust it if you want, and can time the AE reliably.

The knockback is the sign that you need to use your cure trauma IMMEDIATELY. The AOE damage doesn't kick in until a couple of seconds later, and only if people still have the trauma on them.

Thanks, I thought that was the problem. Is there anyway to see on ACT who doesn't cure their trauma when it lands?
Also, just to clarify, if even one person doesn't cure it, that causes the KB and damage, correct?

Re: Treyloth
Treyloth will put the trauma effect on the top 6 people on the hate list. When he does, those six people, and only those six will get the knockback, with no damage. When they get knocked back, those 6 people need to cure trauma immediately. About 3 seconds after the knockback, and every 2 seconds or so after, the damage will kick in. The AOE damage will hit everyone within 9m or so once for every person that still has the trauma on them. It seems to be about a 1-2k hit for disease damage (with decent resists), so if nobody is cured your tank will be getting hit for 6-12k damage every 2 seconds.

Re: Treyloth
Thanks for the info.
It was wierd, one or two times on the pull, he would AoE and insta kill half the raid. Then other pulls, we didn't have that problem at all, but I think we did run into the problem of people not curing trauma on time.

Re: Treyloth
Sometimes he does do his AoE right on the pull.
Best way to save raid against that is have the entire raid stack up 10m away from where Trey is standing in non-agro mode.
That way if he AoEs right on pull, you aren't in the ranges to get pounded by him. They have the raid swing to teh "sweet spot" as the tank pulls him to the location where you will be tanking him the entire fight.
Also, with the curing trauma after every knockup. The trauma portion is resistable, so if your top DPSers have great disease resists, your raid -may- be burning through cure potions a lot faster than they really need to. Everyone should just get in the habbit of looking at their group window when they get knocked up to see if they have a trauma icon or not. If they do, hit the hotkey for their cure potions (and they damn well better have them on their hotbars and not digging through bags to right-click -> use to cure!!!!). If they get knocked up with no trauma dot, just run right back into position and dont burn a potion needlessly.

He has a second AOE called Reaching Rot, which basically insta-kills anyone further than 10m away. That's probably what got your raid. Searing Rot is the short range one. Just make sure your raid is standing close to him on the pull.

You need to interupt on the pull; not interupting means you you run the risk of him casting either AoE and gives you enough time to get into posistion.

Re: Treyloth
Another question: to be able to aggro Malkonis once Trey is dead, do you have to do the find-sensor-room-blowing-up-and-talking thing before you kill Trey; or can you kill him, then do the rooms and click on the painting?

Re: Treyloth
I've never done it after killing Treyloth...is there any reason? No
