Nerfed master spell drop rate - Page 2

i agree with miroh. i get 5-10 masters sometimes when im out running instances, some nights i get none. but the master drop rate does need to be nerfed, go back to t5 drop rates when being fully mastered meant something, not getting fully mastered in like 3 weeks.

From a Tradeskiller's perspective, nerfing the Master rate can only be a good thing. (Yeah, we know I'm biased)

But more likely you're PRNG just hates you today.

Longest I went without a master was a week. This is coming from someone who farmed SoS everyday when I wasn't raiding for 3 months straight, not a day went by I wasn't in there. Nothing has changed.

I definitely think they've changed something recently...

I've been setting my defiler on autofollow and mentoring down with my wizard running around killing heroics. Over the last 2 days I've seen 4 masters drop off non named heroics in overland zones, 2 from skindancer gnolls and 2 from rats in EL.

And after I was done with skindancers I took him through ruins of varsoon...Every name in there dropped a master chest, as well as 2 from varsoon's little instance; 1 off him and 1 off the trash mobs in his ring event. Dunno why, but I never remember seeing that much loot in there when I leveled through the first couple times (this was a while ago though)

I probably got another evening worth of xp left in the rats, so I'll have more data to go by, although I probably just killed my luck by posting this

Varsoon, Runnyeye, Solusek's, Perma, and FG/SH all have extremely high drop rates compared to t6/7 zones and instances. This is because nobody really gives a damn if you have a full set of pre t7 masters because they'll be outdated in two weeks of leveling.

Heres a EQ2flame for ya. Who the fuck cares. apprentice, adept, master. They are all fucking retarded. EQ2 sucks for immersion, i mean seriously they are combat arts. Should'nt one Master them through practice and training? nope we just read a tome!

maybe for spell casters this makes sense, but whats the damn difference between a adept tome and a master tome? oh! there were typos on the spell wording in theadept and notthe master eh? all thistime ive been casting frost bloom and not frost nova but now that i have this masterfully written tome ill cast it correctly now?

Man i feel sorry for anyone that cant afford a new PC for Vanguard. You learn new skills by watching enimys use them and by dueling/training with Masters. its gunna kick ass because its emersion actually makes sense.

But i guess having alot of content andactually haveing to speed more then 5minutes traveling around the entire world turns some people off..

all Newbies like it easy eh? and you people call WoW a newb game...

I don't mind the spell quality tiers, but I DO mind having to essentially re-scribe the same damn thing every 14 levels.

The group i usually run with used to always get a trash mob master every nite.. and never one from names. We haven't had our trash mob master ( or any mater for that rate ) in about a week. T6 or T7. Even this last weekend while raiding there were more adepts than masters that dropped.
