Pretty sure I've heard about pathing issues in that zone which is how most people are exploiting it on test to kill the 75x2.

yea and did you know kingdom of sky is part of the the plane of sky that leaked out into the overrealm when veeshan removed her presence from norrath yet i was able to solo there.
Heck i can solo darathar on my main. Using LORE for justification on ingame mechanics is retarded anyway you look at it. Levels are subjective. It was vhalen who said the matron is a peon in the grand scheme of things and darathar is immensily more powerful. Darathar would burn the matron in one breath. Yet for gameplay purposes their levels are entirely different. Fuck i killed Venekor like 5 times already. he comes back like evey expansion. using lore to explain why it should be a lvl 80 zone is fucking retarded. What will we do when eq2 gets another level increase will you complain then. I guess you were bitching in eq1 when people were 1 grouping the plain of hate later in the games life. Stop being stupid its just another heroic zone.... fuck it is not even the REAL plane of fear. It is just a small piece of its influence.
You know all those fucking grey con mobs wandering outside the plain of fears portal? Guess wtf they came from.....

Just trio'd the entire zone minus the last puzzle which we didn't have time to figure out. no we didn't kill the epic...but a Conj/Ranger/Illusionist cleared all the named as well as the entire pyramid enclosed in fire...
c'mon SOE a little more of a challenge plz...
Gonna go legit kill the epic tomorrow night and hopefully figure out the last puzzle of the fire pits

Re: Shard of fear.
To be fair, though, a ranger can solo almost any heroic mob given an open area to work with (and Shard of Fear is pretty open), thought I realize the same could be said of other classes, such as enchanters who can mez kill pretty much anything, though that takes about an hour to do. Adding a conjuror to the ranger just makes it ridiculously easy, and the illusionist makes for really easy crowd control on groups, etc. So it's a strong trio for that particular zone, but I definitely agree the mobs could be beefed up some, given some more significant special abilities, especially the names.

The x2 was easily killed with 4 people.
And it has some rather interesting loot.

Re: Shard of fear.
Bit sensitive maybe? I listed it as an option for enchanters, not necessarily the only option.

Re: Shard of fear.
Fun zone, but can be easily trivialized with the right classes. If you played EQ1 and did the Plane of Fear, you should enjoy the scenery .

scenery is nice, from the screenshots it kind of reminds me of Fear but where is the difficulty of Fear, that was part of the fun of the zone, hard as shit. I know its only a shard of the plane but it should still have the power.
