Personally, I want somebody to be randomly death touched while someone's in the zone. (I forgot to send that one with my first /feedback, so I'm about to make another one suggesting it). Because, really, I don't care if the mob doesn't exist at all in the zone... It should always happen.

I really think it brings back a feel of EQ1. Here's a taste -- The only revive point is outside in Feerrott at the portal.

I dunno, the original fear wasn't that difficult, more like LONG. Took forever to clear it completely.

Besides tentacle terrors debuffing everyone, most of the mobs were just straight up easy mobs. The hardest part was pulling (a non factor in EQ2) and issues with mobs 'forgetting' they had aggro, running back and setting off the whole zone, eventually leading to a Cazic DT + everyone camp situation.

Actually, original fear in eq1 is very hard.

The hardest part of original fear is how to break in. It is a disaster if you failed for break in. There is no chance for corpse recovery by your own. You have to ask other guilds for help.

It's normal to spend 1-2 days just for break in.

Maybe for the 3 months after they opened up the planes.

Break was only hard if you were too dumb to train to the safe spot, or had no monk/necro who knew how to drag and FD.

Not many people tried to break in straight up, it was just too risky, pathing was horrid and even if you did everything right you could still get screwed by Cazic aggro or other misc training.

1-2 day stuff only happened on say the very first break ins on a server when A) no one knew what the hell they were doing and b) everyone bailed after it turned out to be hard because they didn't want to lose their levels. At the time remember there really was no 'hard' anything and raiding was kinda new, so that was common.

Of course this wasn't true for all servers, I'm sure, but for most that is probably how things went down.

If you consider that difficulty, I guess I can see it, but none of it translates to EQ2 because of differences in death mechanics, pulling, and pathing.
