For those of you who couldn’t make FanFaire and who couldn’t keep up with the various announcements after-the-fact, the Shard of Fear will be one of the two “Planes” being touched on again in Everquest 2 (the other being the Shard of Hate). The Shard of Fear is being designed as a very difficult high level single group dungeon, whereas the Shard of Hate is being designed as a raid instance.

So guessing were getting fear next LU, yay a full month of it. I guess since its supposed to be a difficult group instance it wont be as bad as it being the raid version of hate instead. If they add both in the next LU that would be simply retarded though unless they had plans to scale it or make a level 80 version of it. I know some new content would be nice but I and from observing many others posts hope these zones arent wasted just prior to RoK is released.

Well there is a problem... You see if they don't release them both next month, then it'll be december before they get released.. RoK comes out in November. So there won't be a LU that month.
So I'd expect both zones next LU although 1 month before the expansion is a little tight on SOE's part should have had Fear before now IMO.

Why not release both Fear and Hate now, but designed for RoK? Just means your "hard instance" by level 80 standards is a "really fucking hard instance" for level 70 standards, but you can go in if you want, and probably get owned by red mobs.
It'd be like Gates of Discord all over again!

They scaled Clockwork Menace to both 60 and 70. Maybe I'm just optimistic, but I'm sure they realize that the expansion is coming soon and will put efforts towards scaling it as well.
