How does one get General Byzar Bloodforge to pop in the Haunted Vaults? Is he triggered somehow? Random chance of spawn? Need to be on a certain step in Stormhammer quest line?

I noticed I got locked out killing trash mobs so its hard to experiment, and I've had no luck. He can drop a nice ring:



Any info would be appreciated -

You can get a +30 Spell Damage ring out of Shard of Fear now. Be a lot easier, plus it's tradeable.

If you still wanted the ring, he's a random pop. Just go invis and run the hallway (or track) to see if he's up. Nothing including him sees invis. If he isn't zone out and zone back in until he's up.

Haunted Vaults? i havent been able to play much in the past week or so, new zone aside form shard of fear?

just reread the post... thats the zone under the bear rug in kaladim?

Omgosh there's something under that rug now? I completed that PITA quest right after EoF came out and there was nothing under it. I petitioned and the GM confirmed that there was nothing there but that I could always repeat the (PITFA) quest should something later be added..... :\

its pretty tiny. one hallway and about 6 tiny rooms. Maybe 10-12 mobs total. Looks like the Stormguard hall above it within those narrow passageways.

Its required for the Stormhammer quest line, and you need to do an access quest to get down there.

I did that bear rug quest before i was to that point on the stormhammer line, then after finding no mage reward i just lost interest and never went back. Didn't know anything decent dropped in there.

BTW what is this +30 BOE ring that drops in Shard of Fear? I see one that is +30 BOE, but just for disease. (Spooky Bone Hoop) Couldn't find one that is all spell damage.
