Default Woushi

Our guuild has been hitting EH hard for the past month or so. We can easily clear the whole zone, and any of the nameds except the big ugly overgrown EQ1-leftover named, Woushi.

We've been hitting Woushi all week and only making marginal progress. We have gotten as far as spawning and killing the first bloodbeast, after dragging it into the river and making sure we're all under a ledge, but we're pretty much toast after that.

We've gotten good at clearing the noxious breath effects and quickly clearing the arcane root. We're jousting and repositioning as needed, but we still aren't getting Woushi past the 65% mark. While it has been amusing seeing our corpses flung all over the 3rd floor, seeing whose corpse ends up in the weirdest place, it'd be nice to progress a bit further with him. (My gnome keeps ending up dead under a root in the river - the last ignoble death was my gnome flung under the root, then hit with the arcane root/shrink effect, paralyzed, and then I drown face down in the water while my guildmates met their own demises.)

I hate Tunare and her damn pet, Woushi.

freedom of mind potions for if u get treed then punted.

load up g1 with power regen and AA avoids. that should help and time the ae avoid for when his aes line up.

Also how how "deep" into the agro radius you get for the non-MT groups, WOushi's hit box is huge so you don't have to be right up on his ass to hit him.

We go in to joust just as close as necessary. as soon as out CA/Spell icons light up we stop running toward the dragon.

Mounts add zero to your run speed and only make it impossible to run backwards while in combat .


If jousting isn't getting the job done you could have everyone stay in and rely on grp noxious cures as you burn quickly to the next beast spawn mark.
One thing I keep trying to get my guild to do is at that second spawn, just send the OT grp to hold the beast at the river by themselves as we finish off the dragon faster than we would have killed that second beast. Then taking the beast at our leisure. It's been a hard sell.

Sounds to me like the strat is fine if your raid setup is ok. What exactly causes the wipe? With wuoshi luck can also determine success or failure. 65% is not far off from the death of the bloodbeast. With the bloodbeast down it should be business as usual, unless you're running out of power. Perhaps it may simply be a discipline issue?

I think the Bloodbeast isn't controlled as well as it needs to be. I'm not sure what the problem is with him. I'm not going to criticize my tanks, cause I am a sit-back-and-throw-bombs type. I'm not sure if the Swipe we are trying to keep on Woushi affects the beast spawn, as it doesn't always seem to spawn at 75%, and we seem to be getting unfortunate overlapping AEs from the green guy himself.

For the time, I'll go with the guild leadership and blame our failures on our Furies, since that seems fair and reasonable to everyone.
