Default Karnor's Castle...

...Is it just me, or are some of the encounters in this zone broken? Went in there on the first day, and it seemed like certain encounters were randomly spawning, and immediately running back to what apparently was the original spawn location. Anyone else seen anything like this in there?

My group had no problems in there except that the experience was absolutely awful. I expected alot better experience from a contested 70+ zone. We did however encounter Xalgoz, who we weren't able to figure out, At around 30% health he completely healed himself back to full life... four consecutive times in the same fight.
We were sure it was something simple we missed, but we weren't able to get back down there to give it another shot. If anyone actually has info on this encounter and could help me out, that would be great.

Already a thread on this mate - Three big huge green buttons on the walls. The heal comes out of them. Just click buttons when the heal comes to turn it off. Not exactly hard to figure out since a big pile of green shit comes out of them exactly when the heal comes

Since I've posted this, other people in-game have expressed some kind of odd bug in the zone, so there is some sort of issue... unless it's just my server, which I would think to be unlikely.

Funny about the green shit though.

I went in there with a group yesterday for about 45 minutes, and the XP was beyond awful. I think I gain more XP killing solo regular even conned mobs than doing the heroic stuff.

I always thought shared dungeons were for loot and you went to certain overland zones for xp.

Not since the days of DoF maybe.... overland zones have been redone to be all solo, all the time, pretty much. Overland zones provide no challenge to a full group. Dungeons have always been about challenge, loot, AND xp. You're gather up a full group of players, and traveling to a much more dangerous area. It's a shame that they are wanting to punish people who like to group and kill things for xp this way though.

You've always been able to pick an overland zone where there was a sweet camp of ^^^'s you could chain pull and get far, far more xp for your time.

I will say that in the about 6 hours total I've been able to play RoK, I've yet to find our grind zone.

Don't know if it was the awful xp, or the monotonous number of drolvarg or the fact we went through the place and seemingly missed every point of interest. I just found this zone to be reeealllyyy boring.

There is something badly wrong when a couple of hours in a zone like that nets you a tenth of the xp you could get knocking out stupidly easy solo quests outside.
