This expansion is so badly timed, i mean if the game had been like EoF from the start i think it would have blown WoW away, its everything that should have been.
But releasing this as their thir expansion is stupid in every way, talk about catering to the wrong crowd.

Probably too late for EQ2, and yes they should have done EoF from the start[but with even more colorful and animated zones..EoF is still too brown and earthy for the casuals]
Here is the simple math for those asking about how much EoF raid content:
About 3% raid in MMORPGs. That is why everyone is chasing the casuals.
EQ2 probably has 175,000 subscribers.
3%of 175,000 = 5250 raiders - $735000 gross income
Minus 20% profit the mother company probably want
=$588,000
Lets take out Customer service costs...raiders whine a lot so lets say each of us consume 2 hours a year of CS time.2*5250*8/hr(have to include tax) =
$84,000 (amazing how much customer service costs).lol.
So let's say 500,000 left
subtract 25,000 for bandwidth, rack, blade or computer, power, etc.
475,000 left....About enough to pay for 5 people...maybe a few more if you pay low enough, cut customer service, have already paid hardware, etc.
So If SOE wants to make a profit....then they can have about 5 man years devoted to raid content in EOF(this assumes they don't have expensive employees). (Thats five for, development, game design, art, QA, testing, executives, and admin). They may have even less people than that.
So how much content could there be?
