I doubt 3 whole guilds will leave. Im 100% sure though that the majority of those top 10 guild's members will quit. Maybe because of that they will fall apart. Cause they cant find people to replace the old members. LaF (Level a Fae) oops I meant EoF has very minimal raid content.

I predict POP as the next expanion that will nail the coffin of EQ2 just like it did to EQ1 for me. However it will be different for EQ2 it will be because it's mostly raid content and most of the casual players will be up in arms about the 40$ next go around because there is nothing really for them. So SOE will replace the new boat in EOF with a Bell at the Nek, TS doks and Insta portal men at all the druid rings and wizard spires so their like Hmm insta travel Yeah!. So that will force the hand of a few to stick it out and pay the money on content they may never see in the rest of the EQ2 play time. While most of the LFG raiders are already gone.

While I agree in stateing that for a full time raid guild to be active in the upper levels for EQ2 in EOF looks lacking. I also have to say this exapnsion is very lush and full of tons of things to do. If all you ever do is Raid then this isn't gonna be the exansion to get excited about. Never has there been an Everquest xpac that has came out where it's been an all in wonder and has been very nice to raiders. "See Loy for EQlive" Although we will have to wait and see I belive the raiders will get there's in the following expansion. Which looks like a bleek deal for Hardcore Raiders.

But releasing this as their thir expansion is stupid in every way, talk about catering to the wrong crowd.
Probably too late for EQ2, and yes they should have done EoF from the start[but with even more colorful and animated zones..EoF is still too brown and earthy for the casuals]

Here is the simple math for those asking about how much EoF raid content:
About 3% raid in MMORPGs. That is why everyone is chasing the casuals.

EQ2 probably has 175,000 subscribers.
3%of 175,000 = 5250 raiders - $735000 gross income
Minus 20% profit the mother company probably want
=$588,000
Lets take out Customer service costs...raiders whine a lot so lets say each of us consume 2 hours a year of CS time.2*5250*8/hr(have to include tax) =
$84,000 (amazing how much customer service costs).lol.

So let's say 500,000 left
subtract 25,000 for bandwidth, rack, blade or computer, power, etc.
475,000 left....About enough to pay for 5 people...maybe a few more if you pay low enough, cut customer service, have already paid hardware, etc.

So If SOE wants to make a profit....then they can have about 5 man years devoted to raid content in EOF(this assumes they don't have expensive employees). (Thats five for, development, game design, art, QA, testing, executives, and admin). They may have even less people than that.

So how much content could there be?

This hit beta on Saturday .. figured it deals with raids, so here you go.

- The minor bosses associated with mayong mistmoore in his coffinchamber have been given new abilities. The deity avatars deemed to be on the weak side have been given additional combat abiltities to more closely level the difficulty associated with the deity avatars.

Inner Santcum of Mistmoore has been cleared by Vagabonds in Beta.

No offense but it has been a long time since vagabonds was on the cutting edge of raid content. If they are able to clear the hardest raid zone in EoF already before it has even hit live, what makes anyone think that some other guilds wont be done and locked out within a week?

Thats pathetic. SOE is dumber than shit if they really think there is anywhere close to enough content worthy of our time and money. Im just happy I switched to a monthly paying plan because I doubt by january there will be anything left for me in game.

I could go into how much better Vagabonds has been recently after having a little downslide (lost some key memebers, including 2 officers to WoW), and getting some kickass apps (even though I am no longer in VB)...but fact remains that the zone should not have EVER been FUCKING CLEARED IN BETA.

My comment to EarLocust on the beta forums after he gave Pinski a smart ass comment holds true:

"Your raid content for EoF sucks, thanks for your lack of interest"

Assuming they wanted to know the buggs with a given encounter to fix before or right after live. Wouldn't it make since to make them a bit easier so they could be defeated and thus analized on a small scale then amped up in live? Just asking because Beta would seem less organzied then a Live server Raid guild. If I was a dev I would want people to finish encounters so that I could watch what happens when mob does X amount of damage or is scripted in a certin way. So it's hitting them for say 6k Aoe's and 300 a pop dbl attack and has some fancy abiltys to do crazy shit in Beta on a normally KOS equipted Raid tank. It's beta, not live... it's live that should be tuned so that it hits for 10K aoe's 600 a pop and fancy abilitys X2. I agree some Epics in EQ2 are a joke and alot are a joke to the fully equipted Raid but even still there are 2 types or raiders. The casual raiders and the uber raiders.... They need to make some weak raids and the others that Scale into the damn near imposible maybe even imposible on the terms of how we know the game today.

If you were around (not sure if you were) before DoF then you know the beta testing for Djinn Masters Prism was done by 15 Ascendance people....

Ask the guilds who took up until a month before KoS launched how much fun that testing must have been.
