from what i m reading it sounds to me that this quest will be like SoD part 1 then wait 1 or 2 month to be allowed to do 2 more quest then in 8 months you will be allow to get your epic (if that is indeed the epic questline).
once again everyone and their mother will have their epic at the same moment? SoD v2? only time will tell.

Good thing this can't be the Epic Weapon Quests, because there are 24 different ones for that! Combined with the fact that they aren't in.

I found the moppet shoppe....and for all those who say its not the epic quest line...umm the quest can split off at anytime into class specific quest lines or the one quest could have 24 rewards....

Check south of the battle field for a door on the bridge pillars in the water under Lord Raks tomb

Well, if it says "Raid Progression Quest Starter", call me stupid but that seems to suggest it is a quest for progressing raids. i.e. an access quest for the Tier 2 raidzones, or Veeshans Peak, or whatever.

Like the deathtoll access quest.

It certainly does not look like the epic questline starter. Because then the mouseover would say "Epic Quest Starter". Or something .....

Oh and lol at "vague statement by a dev" when Gallenite went out of his way to do a specific interview on the subject where he clearly detailed that Epic quests were not in as they weren't ready.
