After you talk to the moppet guy, you get:

-Intercept Tairiza, the drachnid queen, within the lost Tomb of Thuuga. She holds the Mistmyrian Soul Cube.

-Enter the Throne of Blood to seize the Wand of Intervention from Pawbuster.

-Delve into the ancient tomb, the Protector's Realm, to claim the Greenmist Orb.

so it SAYS "raid progression quest starter" and the quest requires you to complete the 3 first tier raids...i think it may, in fact, just be the access quest for the 2nd tier. Plus, remembering from beta what the mistmyrian soul cube does strengthens the point, in my mind.

Maybe the same is needed for enter Tier3 (complete Tier2) and Tier 4 (complete Tier3) Zones.
The big question is: Does everyone in the raid need access (backflagging knocking on the door) or is 1 raidmember enough ("zoning into Veeshans Peak for 50plat")?
Best solution is imho that 1/2 or 3/4 of the raid needs the key.

The really sad part is how many people are already at 3rd tier of raiding AFTER 1 week of launch.

Some people are just waiting for the quest to be fixed so they can zone into veeshans peak, kinda sad......

The next 11 and 1/2 months are going to drag out a long time.

SOE sucks at making raid content, what did you expect? real high end content for once? sorry but it's never gonna happen in EQ2.

Sounds like the "Raid progression" is from super easy to medium (tier3), instead from medium to super hard.
Maybe its not intended, and SOE beef the zones somewhat up.
I really dont like "bottum up" difficult design for raids (make them easy , then adjust the difficulty up until its ok), "top down" (make them hard, then adjust it down) is far more desirable for raiding. No one wants to work on Tier 2 Zones, when they had already seen tier 4 zones (and some gear out of it).
