Most of the people complaining about progression haven't even started raiding yet though~.

Re: The Fate of Norrath Quest
No one can argue that the current state of hardcore raiding in this game is anything but fucked up. There are some challenging mobs in this expansion, however the very fact that my guild raided 4 nights and got into Veeshans Peak does show you that is too easy. No matter how many hours we put in (which was alot) or focus/dedication which we had. I'm not trying to discredit my guild and they should be proud of it but yes, it is fucked up we are in veeshans this early and even so this easily.
What I don't understand is how several guilds beta tested Veeshans Peak named how the input they gave (assuming they did), did not make them more difficult. I mean sadly the way you kill the named is find ways to keep your MT up on a 12k double attacks even when the mob is fully debuffed.
There is progression in this game as far as "The mobs get harder as they go". But none require gear upgrades in order to defeat them. In actual Veeshans Peak we only have 20 in there and no rogues and even the trash mobs are proving to be a bitch to kill going into the 2nd part of it. I don't know how we'll do today once we get to the nameds.
The Actual 4 mobs in Veeshan Peak were extremely tough considering what we have to work with raiding them with 18-20. However with rogues and other people to fill the missing slot there's no chance of us wiping. Only two of the nameds we killed in Veeshans actually required a real strategy besides the occasional in and out call/mass burn and out of the two only one was even difficult.
But the bottom line is SoE needs to do something and needs to do something soon or this game is completely fucked. With only one other zone and really it's just one mob left after VP we're going to be bored silly by Christmas. That's not cool, That will only leave us one contested and avatars as it seems. Rumor has it that the Avatars will basically be copy pasted as well.
SoE needs to man the fuck up and do so soon.

This is what I'm talking about Gungo.
1. Even tho we were able to get to Veeshans this fast I guarantee you the majority of guilds are going to have alot harder of a time to get here then us. Unless you are in a top 10 guild you are not going to get here for a bit. Unless you can get all 24 of your guilds to stop sucking and execute a hard strategy.
I do agree tho it's way to soon.
What pisses me off is how you are just pulling shit out of your ass and posting it. Unless you know what the fuck you are talking about, don't open your mouth.

Lol my position is the same, I'm going to defend my guilds kills. Having people bash it is just sour. If people want to argue that it's fucked up that we are already in there, I am certainly not going to argue that, I will actually support that argument. But my argument was never that the way this """"progression"""" by any means is acceptable. We're just going to clear this shit as quick as possible. Hopefully SoE will make it more challenging.

Re: The Fate of Norrath Quest
The fact being argued is wrong. The problem isn't that the mobs aren't inherently hard (minus the fact that a tank might randomly die to a really hard double attack, which I don't classify as hard just stupid), the problem is that we where so high up on the curve in t7 that we are still very well off in t8, especially after even just minor upgrades. The whole mechanic of putting mit and resists on a diminish returns curve has killed the ability to make hard content and has killed the ability to make gear matter. The curve need to go, or it needs to not have a really steep point where the first 65% of the stats matter and after that it is just meaningless.
To emphasize, the curve is the root of all the problems. If the curve wasn't so steep and retarded and we hadn't been so high on it coming in to the tier these problems would not exist.
To further emphasize the point I'll take a look at stats. I can SELF buff to 870 int right now with T7 gear plus quested rok gear. Stack a fury on that and I'm sitting well over 1k, with the temp illu buff that is up half the time I'm sitting at the Int cap. That is without T8 raid gear... What does that leave for expansion? That isn't even me trying to max my int, that is in gear I'm normally wearing.

Re: The Fate of Norrath Quest
So what
Is this the first time soe has screwed up??? Taranix was nurfed, changed, fixed 10 diffrent times.
Chel'drak was too hard when beta tested and its difficulty was set right in the end.
Matron was so fucked up it took people 3 months to finally kill it after release because it was bugged. Even after matron was killed it took guilds 2 more months of practice in some cases.
EoF launched and an avatar was killed very very fast. Why? because it was fuckin bugged. Yea, guilds still could kill it after they were already geared up.
I wont even get into AoM. Fact remains.
Sometimes soe makes shit so hard its impossible to kill. Sometimes its too easy to kill.
The mobs in RoK arn't "easy".(because there arnt 10 guild to t4)
The mobs arn't as challenging as most of the community was expecting. The best two guilds in the game are the only ones ive seen show progression. So get over it. It wil be made harder and all the 9-15 guild's WW will go back to farming MMIS and after a month of that they will start bitching that its too hard. I love how its so easy to predict. goodday
