So having conversations with devs at that level, having them watch over your raid and you say it doesnt give you any advantage?

Really, i dont care if it gives you an advantage or not, but its pretty ridiculous that you claim you have no more information or experiance in certain raid zones than someone like me who has never spoken to a dev before.

This is how MMO's work. A guild or two is asked to test things. That guild then gets an advantage. It is a clear advantage, you cant deny that. Is it wrong to have that advantage? No. You were asked to test the stuff and you did. Some people just have to realize that there will always be beta testers, and those testers will always have an advantage. Thats just how the game works.

For one I don't care. For two he told me many times while he was at SOE how close Roger and SD were. Roger and MG talked frequently since their offices were next to each other.

That is why when you firsted the Matron I thought you sploited her, because Roger told MG who told me that he didn't think she was beatable yet.

Everyone later found out you did it legit, and I apologized.

Oh, and MG doesn't work for SOE anymore, he is somewhere else working on something else, /shrug.

Yes, there is a benefit from beta testing. You get to learn the layout of the common zones, you get to familiarize yourself with the new combat changes, you get to pick what AA paths you want to go, etc.

While I cannot speak for any of the other guilds in beta I can speak for my own guild when I say that we rarely tested EoF content.

It's called a implied meaning.

"We raided LIVE servers daily, still doing DMP, DT, Cheldrak, Matron, MO, 3 Princes, Lycium, Labs, Halls of Seeing, etc and THEN in our FREE TIME we would go over to EoF beta and test KoS content all over again."

So you make it seem like you went out of your way spending your "FREE TIME" beta testing content. So heck, I never once said that you said it was a burden, I said "you make it seem like."

And I don't really know how much beta content you tested, but since your guild as a whole got into beta, that already is a fair advantage over one that did not.

Odashu does more dps than I do too. I could really care less. I still play this game and raid with Dissolution - while you just sit there and wish you did.

You're the one that asked Axkiva if you could come back, not me.

Beta testing clearly gives certain advantages, as exil mentioned, like knowing AA paths etc.

If a situation comes up there where (Beta Guild A) world firsts something and then (Non Beta Guild B) kills it over a week later, it has little to do with testing content. Most of the "information" about a mob can be learned rather quickly.

Victicus the reason no devs know your name or your guild is because shitty guilds shouldn't test content.
