The ONE time our guild went to Emerald Halls, was about the second day of beta. None of the mobs even had specials, or AE's. It has since been completely changed as I have read on the forums, and we have not been back. About the only useful thing we learned from that experience was the general layout of the zone, something even the noobest of guilds will figure out on their very FIRST attempt. We have spent our time on live, and testing in KoS with the revamped combat changes on beta.

The people with the advantage, are the people doing pickup raids every night in all of the raid zones, not the ones who spend actual time comparing parses and writing reports of the differences in combat between Hurricanus on Live, and Hurricanus on beta.

I have personally grouped with Defiance... I have not been in any of the other big guilds, but I feel that Defiance will be making their mark on EoF, great bunch of guys, good raid leaders, only bad part is they are super selective (which imo is a good thing). Because of their very selective nature they often have problems filling out a raid force @ times, but like I said, I think they will make themselves known.

I have all the love for NPU, Disso, SD, Fable, etc... But I have a feeling that the new expansion might bring us some new names, in terms of WW firsts.

I forgot to add FoH in there, I have met some cool mofos from FoH, have talked to them in the past in WW channels, here or on the Soe forums, and I can say nothign but good thigns about them.

This is what keeps me wanting to play EQ2, you mofos, on this forum, with your passion for the game, and your love/hate for each other... It makes it hard to leave. I love this community, and we all need to thank LFG as much as possible for allowing us all for this place to vent our fears, our hatreds, and our loves...

I'm not flaming, I probably should because it really irritates me when people start throwing shit at others when they have no fucking clue what they are talking about..but it's 3:30 am and well, I just don't care that much. Although I will throw you a bone, since you seem to be so hell bent on beta guilds "wtfpwning" you the day EoF goes live. There are 3 floors to Emerald Halls, each progressively harder than the one before it..and just on the first floor, not even being completely cleared last night, I saw 5 nameds, and we weren't even halfway finished with the first floor before it got too late and people had to log. Dev's are seriously trying to make the raid content in this expansion a lot better than we've had in the past. And thanks to the guilds that are testing raids in beta you'll have great and hard content to beat yourselves when this goes live.

The things that any guild learns in beta isn't anything that a good guild, like Dissolution couldn't learn in the first few pulls of a mob, or within the first 30 minutes in a new zone. You guys talk about what an awesome guild you are, and how you'll still be kicking ass the day EoF goes live without your beta information, well that's great and I'm happy for you. But you should also remember that the guilds that get into beta, aren't there to learn "leet infoz" they are there to help make the game better for you and every one else that plays.

So you can keep talking about how any world wide first any beta guild gets is going to be that much less important in your book, blah blah blah because they got all their info on beta etc. That last time I asked around, no one was measuring their e-peen by your ruler. And how come is it that Disso isn't in beta as a guild anyways? If I were a gambling girl, I'd say that it's because the presence that a lot of people in your guild gives themselves on public forums, make you look less appealing than others (no offense LFG). If your people spent more time being constructive and actually trying to help instead of bitching and complaining every breath, I bet you'd get a little more attention than you've gotten in the past.

You would lose your bet then. Fact of the matter is I backed up everything I said and turned down a guild copy offer. It wasnt bullshit, I really do feel beta testing cheapens the actual kills on live. Not everyone in Dissolution shares my view but a majority does and are proud to not have beta tested these encounters.

And you know, there are other ways to test all this stuff without beta testing actual raid content. Buffy the Adventure Slayer anyone?
