hmmm I was finally able to find some, I needed to turn off all the flora graphics to do so. So I guess they are just hard to spot.

They are always up, just hard to spot. Instant respawn at one of the locs.

What a royal Pain in the ass.

Started this questline a while ago, happened to stumble onto the guy wanting the dull kromslayers on accident because I held onto one.

Anyway so Chardok updates suck ass.

Totally agree with original poster. Rewards Bleh. Time involved way to much.

On the quest right now where you have to kill Warlord in barracks past the Blue door and get the key from him to open the chest. We killed the ph so many times and finally got the named, he dropped ONE key and only one person in the group was able to update.
Not to mention the damn servent and syrup case is bugged and sometimes doesnt work right. The servent will sometimes continue to roam around back and forth after he poisons the water in the named room. Having that servent bastard repop instantly after you kill him while your trying to pick up the harvestables for everyone in group just plain sucks.

Its bad enough having to get 60-70 semi rare chest drop updates for 6 group members to update earlier in the barracks (Breastplates, Lances, Cloaks) also the drops arent smart - an item no longer needed can still drop.

But to put in a named only drop and have a ph that continually pops instead of the named is just plain agrivating and a waste of time. Is this how we are supposed to be kept occupied until the epics come out?
There are two named kills you MUST get to progress for each member that I know of so far. One for the heart in hall of clay and the other for the key to the chest which holds the codex.

Can't you do something a little more interesting other than time sinks and stupid shit like this?
What happened to the system they put in where ph's actually update on quests? Why dont the ph's drop the items needed. Or oh wait, here is something novel, how about a auto update that is group wide instead of a dropped item? Ya think?

Thanks, yeah,..... whatever

Auto update is the answer, not the other things.

It definitely took out the last bit of fun for me when we were camping the sarnak past the blue door for the "hearts". What a shitty concept that everyone in the group needs the named, and the PH keeps popping 6-million times in a row.

We already had been camping the named in the tower (for these bomb stones) and he dropped a key for one group member, but when that group member opened the chest EVERYONE got update.
I hoped for a moment there that they had fixed this shit described in earlier posts here. Well they haven't!

I will prolly try to finish the questline (once our group gets some new motivation hehe), but the fun we had finding this quest first on our server, figuring out everything on our own etc, got severely narrowed.

Any bets on the final reward being 'Cloth Hat'?

Man lots of whining going on here 8 Please take a moment to think back to eq1....ok...so the chardok questline is not so hard afterall, it's only 1 named per grpmember update, no need to get sadpandaface on.

The line has a few very nive healer rewards. I would prolly never do the line on a caster.

Anyways, it's an ok chilled way to progress and see most of chardok, and get some extra items on the side.

Whole enchilada took some 30ish hours or so for 6 ppl.

  1. blah blah eq1 blah blub good ole' days blub da bleh. Get over it. Anyway, I do agree that Chardok is worth the time spent there, really nice zone, I love the scenery and the last parts of it behind the red gate (and a short bit before) are interesting to fight through.

  2. 1 named and 20something placeholders per group member. :P

  3. I can't turn in that damn quest anyway, NPC has a turn-quest-in-symbol, but he won't speak to me anymore.

You "throttled" your turn-ins (ie handin in one, took next, without handing the second completed in). Happened for a few of our groupmembers also. You have to turn both quests in before taking any new I think, worked fine for me.

Definately a bit bugged, but works fine if you turn all in in the order you took them, unfortunately it's 2 late now, but will most likely get fixed soon.

Good thing is you can still continue the line.

We are now at caroeth barracks. We have one quest open, inside the
barracks and kill named. However we dont get any new quest. Even
with this quest complete we have 7,5k faction. Where does it go on,
maybe after the red door? Is there any body drop or npc inside chardock that continues the questline ?
