Re: Chardok Quests (Gwalnax Brigade)
So far i've had a hard time getting people to group up for this place...since itemization has been fucked...i know the mobs drop leg or masters....but....I have solo'd and snuck around to get my green blue and red shard by myself...i've killed probably 6 named...a few of them more than 4 times...and nothing but wood drops....why is the drop rate sooo low when the items aren't even as good as chel/maidens/vault/coa loot?
Also just a question for people "willing" to share info...
1st quest is the wind chamber ring...
2nd quest is the rhinospy?
3rd quest is for named in coraeth barracks?
can anyone share some info..would appreciate it

Re: Chardok Quests (Gwalnax Brigade)
I finished all the quests also and I whole heartly agree with the consensus that the zone isn't anywhere near complete...Maybe only 50% and thats a big maybe... Seeing as past the red gate is damn there an enitre OTHER HALF of the zone....Which I might add looks fucking awesome... Hopefully one of the dev's who come on this site will be cool and read this post b/c I have a few suggestions that I think would make the place badass imho......
1. Add a another sokokar post past the Red Gate.
2. Put a contested way in the back of the palace... Maybe bump the queen up to Epic status or something?
3. Im willing to bet Epic's will take us deep in the back there, if not I implore you to consider that... One thing I love about Chardok and Deep sebilis is you need a pretty decent grp to go in there.. So you wont see too many gimp groups of 3 guards, 1 ranger and a warden running around down there. Keep up that trend and force people to actually make well rounded groups to complete stuff... And please dont mistake that for making something REQUIRE a class
4. Finally, this kinda goes along with number 2 consider making some of the random trash in the back palace X2 or X4's... And make the loot reflect the amount of work needed to get there... Persoanlly aside from the lag and the shitty loot I LOVED Castle Mistmoore, and I love Silent City (which I thought was imho a perfect zone)... we need more places like that...

Re: Chardok Quests (Gwalnax Brigade)
The 2x epics in CMM dropped a 2% spell crit earring (when there was no alternative) and a melee cloak that proc'd 725 threat to the encounter, and even still they only seemed like something that people killed on the way to other places. Look at how spectacular the mage drop was from Xuun'vok the Death Reveler in FC, and yet nobody aside of raiders really wears it, and nobody camps it every time I'm there.
I would say making it epic will turn it into a guaranteed graveyard before long.

Re: Chardok Quests (Gwalnax Brigade)
Oh and here's the best part about the Chardok questline... right at the beginning after harvesting a few spears, they suddenly stop appearing...forever! And suddenly the whole zone instance is good for shit to ya until the next zone crash or server reboot. Just fucking awesome.

Re: Chardok Quests (Gwalnax Brigade)
I dont think they stop appearing, from what I understand and seemed to me was only one or two could be up at a time.....that was the biggest pain in the ass to do tho

I totally second that.
Not so sure about the suggestions about epic content in there, but it has to be more accessible. The design of this zone (artwork) is breathtaking. Exspecially behind the red gate. I was in a pure awe, seriously. It would be totally wasted if you canīt get there more easily. I`m not saying, make the zone easier or anything, just add another sokokar post that has to be activated like the other one.
Edit: And OMG do something about this fucking annoying waiter (dunno what he`s called in english, it`s this damn mob that takes the poisoned drink inside the barracks before the red gate). He is a fucking pain with his constant respawn and there seems to be no real pattern to when he respawns and when he doesn`t.

Re: Chardok Quests (Gwalnax Brigade)
No, the spears actually did stop appearing for at least the rest of the night, other people had the same problem in the same zone instance.

yeah the "servant" is annoying ... He's bugged most of the time. I think what's supposed to happen is when the drink is poisoned he takes it down to the room and stays there. If drink is NOT posioned he pathes up and down. However on about 5 trips in he actually stayed put only twice (though at least one time we agro'd him after we poisoned the barrel which will probably bug him out).
The only pattern I've seen to him spawning is almost as soon as he's dead. If you don't see him pathing he might be standing still down In the bottom room and actually 'spawned'.
BTW, finally started working on the quest line in here... having issues with the wind chamber ring event for the 2nd quest IN chardok. I've killed the initial Malefic Malformation (or whatever), killed all the trumpeteers and pathers, and blew the horns in the order listed back a couple pages all within the time limit (horn not reset) but didn't get anything to happen. Am I doing something wrong or is this bugged sometimes?

Re: Chardok Quests (Gwalnax Brigade)
Someone asked about the book keeper.
just got back from vacation.
There are harvestable Volume 1,2 and 3 of a book in the first two upstairs side rooms of the castle before you use the lever on the wall in the statue room. If you have them on you, you can insert them into the book keeper. he will then lead you through some sliding walls that close behind him. So stay behind him and kill as you move.
