It's very possible that Widem transfered servers before they fixed how it worked. Before when you would switch servers you would get a new "creation date." I have also had mine reset from when I xfered to Befallen once, although I was born the day the game went live. It sucks, but what can you do.

Not all the fights are these long ranged fights though, but I can feel your frustration dude. They definately need to rework the "long range" fights in to something more pleasent for all archtypes.

It amazes me that you attribute every hour a raider is logged in to actually playing.
You'd think that you're not allowed to be logged into EQ2 in windowed mode /afk.

I'd like to point out it is correct that when i xfered servers from oasis it gave me and figured it still does give you a new creation date, well b/c that character has been newly created.
and you also have to remember which you prolly dont, when this game was first created the only way to sell items from your inn room was that you had to actually stand there. you would literally be logged in 24/7 to sell what you had. Widem was started in february 2005.
but thats beside the point, i stay logged a lot just so its easier to check the broker or whatever

I guess our set ups are alot different Widen. I always have 2 priests + a tank + a dirge in my group and I call that my OT group or my secondary tank group.

Although we haven`t killed Silverwing and Phara Dar yet, VP shall remain as it is right now.
Getting oneshotted is just a temporary problem. It will go away as soon as tanks get better gear. At least I hope so....
(drop plate drop!........I hate to see these vast amounts of mage/scout-loot >_<)
Maye VP wasn`t intended to get cleared with T7 fabled armor.
Just the fact, that there are people out there trying hard enough to kill everything inside was the reason VP fell so fast.
But after all, VP is just like any other bigger raidzone.
There are very well scripted encounters, others are absolutely pathetic and some are pretty tough.
After all, neither an increase in difficulty nor any nerf is necessary.
Oh, and please forgive me my fucked up english. I hardly have an opportunity to increase my language skill.

I knew when I listened to that moron at Fan Faire (the designer for Veeshan's Peak) give his gay ass roleplaying speech on VP that it would suck. He also looked 21 years old at best, so I highly doubt he's had much experience creating raid zones.
Oh well. You put a moron at the controls of anything, even good things, they can find a way to fuck it up.
Please, put Illucide in charge of shit. He may be a prick, but he's the only person left there that knows shit about designing raids.

Indeed. Fully equipped tanks being one shotted by a double attack equating to 24k from a trash mob is complete bullshit. It sums up the problem with the combat mechanic in this game. Knowing the strat and performing it flawlessly can't save you from shit like that.
