The more raiding relies on luck and the RNG gods, the less fun and engaging it becomes. I shouldn't have to sit there with Torah, Qur’ān, and Bible open while I recite 15 hail marys in hopes that the MT doesn't suddenly drop. If I wanted to be at the mercy of 'luck' I would spend my time in front of the slot machines, not EQ2.

Play WoW. No, seriously. Those are the types of raid encounters WoW has, that RoK tried to emulate, but failed. Raid Illidan once, and you'll have to clean yourself up with your left sock after.
