I just pray they learned from EoF and aren't giving us the same mobs with a small addition to their script. Because I have a feeling that those at the top will see a huge population drop because of it.

Veeshans Peak is a fun zone. Personally I really enjoyed raiding it. However aside from two mobs there wasn't any real difficulty in the zone. I mean at this point I can't ever even imagine wiping to any of them besides maybe Silverwing. I think the main problem is SoE decided they did not want to just give every mob a bad ass AoE or the constant adds over and over again so they attempted to make every encounter different. Which they have succeeded in that way. Aside from two encounters that just have wingbeat on them.

I really had fun in the zone. The zone was huge and it had a couple interesting challenges in them. The problem is aside from 2 named nothing in the zone is hard. Everything is a joke. This zone shouldn't of been cleared for atleast a months. Don't make the argument that this is like every other expansion - It's not. This is even worse. MMIS was cleared Late December - not early December - EH was cleared early Jan. Those were the two huge zones - no what's left? Sure we have Trakanon and I'm hoping to god he's the baddest motherfucker ever and it looks like that. However I just think it should of been harder to get to him.

I don't disagree with the state of VP, but saying EoF had actual progression isn't true either.

The only reason why Gardener cockblocked guilds from getting to the 3rd floor and killing Wuoshi is because the encounter was unplayable on the majority of pulls because of the 10-25s lag spikes on charm cast and then on charm end. If I'm not mistaken, Wuoshi was killed the same night or a day later once Gardener died so there was no real progression there either.

MMIS Mayong was the same thing. The challenge wasn't the encounter, it was curing Mayong's Touch and dealing with the 5-10s of lag that came with it.

We don't have the lag to deal with, which is a good thing, but that was the only real obstacle in EoF. It definitely wasn't the difficulty of the encounters and there wasn't any progression either..

Yeah, remember when they fixed lag on gardener and mayong, how many guilds killed it in the next week after the fix. I'am sure if EoF was released without bs lag (like RoK) it would've been cleared pretty fast. Also EH wasn't persistant at start, so some guilds were cockblocked by server restarts.

I'm not arguing that EoF had progression - However - personally as gay and stupid as it is. I prefer the lag in EoF if that would of stopped of us from getting to trak so soon. It would of made the content last longer.

bah.. doont make sony go back to that bs tactic lol.. they left mobs like matron etc bugged forever just for that reason .. i would rather they just keep adding new content .. hopefully harder than what they have so far.. im sure the avatars will give everyone a run for their money. and i dont see anyone beating the ape anytime soon.

In all honesty, i'm not that pissed that every encounter wasnt super hard. And that several of the encounter's were "different". Different ways to execute rather than my shoving my ass in a corner and just spaming taunts to hold agro off some burn or another. Those encounters made me at least have faith that i could actually have fun playing eq2.

That being said, some of the encounters were dumb-easy. Dumb may not be fun, but make them interesting and i'll probably not bitch 'that much'.

I will have to say there is a gap in time between EoF getting cleared in 2 months and RoK in one monthis in fact do to the persistant zones. Remember at the beginning of EoF there were no perstistant zones so you had to try to do what most did and raid on a saturday or sunday for like 9 hours straight.
