Yeah, too bad the clerics can't cure the other healers.

Yeah, what he said:

Of course, this just makes it all the more stupid, because it had to be somewhere like from 40-25% health, which just... why at that point go to all that effort to go through the script if you can just finish him off in less time than it would take to reposition him. Now, if you could make him smash the grate at like 75%, that might be worth it in terms of time savings. Right now though, definitely not.

So you're saying that when he switches targets, he is not really switching agro? Cause as a dirge, I should never ever never pull agro from tank, no matter how godly I think I am, and I usually get targetted and agro and get one shot from him several times during the fight. Its like my debuffs are pulling more agro than dps or taunts or something...

I wouldn't be surprised to see it changed.

Here is a suggestion....

Get a Level 10 Necro.
Make your pet stay.
Pull a mob. It will run over to you. Dont dot it.
Root the mob
Step backward.
Watch what happens.

;)

A rooted mob always targets the person closest to it, and if you fight the mob on the grid, tanks gets knocked back and stunned, means raid is closer to the mob than the tank, hence the shift.

Its rather frightening that people need this EQ2 101 lesson explained to them so often.
