Where the axe lands there is a circle around it. DOnt be inside that circle and you dont get dazed or knocked back. Step into Pawbuster, make 1 person so to speak

Even if I ran 30 meter's behind Pawbuster when he does his Axe thing and he has me targeted while hes rooted in place, i'd still get hit with his Cleave. Is Dumbfire pets, or an Offtank standing closer to him than the MT the solution? That way when rooted Pawbuster will switch target as soon as he roots himself and starts the Cleave, the MT then should know to run behind Pawbuster to avoid the Cleave. Is this how all other guilds are doing it, or have they been abusing the Pathing Exploit and jumping back and forth over the ledge to cause Pawbuster to path back and forth.

Dont go behind him, step into him. And do it when the axe is above his head. Any earlier and he will re-adjust his swing to follow you if you are stil in range. You'll get the feel for it.

Just a friendly piece of advice. Coming on here with an account that is 4 posts old asking for help and then implying that people are using exploits to kill mobs is not a very good way to get help in the future.

There is a very simple strat to this mob and just because we dont come right out and give it to you does not mean we are exploiting the mob. Why dont you go on you-tube and watch guilds like Deux-machine or Rat empire killing it. Maybe you might see that none of their group is anywhere near the edge.

i heard they changed his script to enforce the raid to use the grate/switch thingie? heard from 2 raids, that he stops taking damage at 9 or 10%

is anyone able to confirm/deny this? someone added, that they also fixed the geometry or his pathing? fixing the later sounds nice while the first thing makes the fight even more annoying as youd have to dps him down to 10% as usual, pull him over to the grate, let all non-healers go /afk and let him hit the lock until it breaks?

Bullshit - Unless these changes were not pushed to splitpaw. We killed him last night without the grate. It wasn't that we didn;t try to use the grate but he wont break it until around 15% health and he was dead by the time he would actually move his stunned/rooted ass over the grate - lol

They SHOULD make it that way as I suggested in a /bug report but so far it hasn't happened.

As an assassin you should feel embarrassed tbh, considering you have a root, and this change was partly made ( wayyy long ago ) to fix your root when it first came out.

Also, it becomes eq2 101 when it is put in the live update notes for everyone to read.

GG though.

It has happened on Splitpaw, or at least they've tried to fix him. Last time in there (last week) we got him to 13% and then it was impossible to do any more damage. Had to redo it using the grate and he died, the script worked perfectly.

Prior to then we had always just burned him down in corner and had noted that the script didn't work (as others have mentioned in this thread). The zone seems to be a lottery atm of which Pawbuster you get.

Last few times we've done it we've had to use the grate. Around 6ish he stopped taking the damage.

He's always done the "taking less damage" thing, and it has nothing to do with his HP %. We had it happen once up around 40, which was how we figured it out.
