Default Dythra, the Gloombringer (fire and ice)

I know this is a really old quest and many tiers back, but last night our guild tried to go through the fire and ice Drakotas. We were able to take out two of them, but the one in Trembling Lagoon, Dythra was able to beat us down pretty easily.

The fight started out fine, our MT took Dythra, while our secondary tank and a couple DPS finished off her two adds within 20 seconds or so. We then all concentrated on her, which was going great. Our healers were keeping the power drain cured and the fight seemed to be won. Then at 40% or something an epicx3 and a bunch of adds showed up, thoroughly demolishing our small group ending our fire and ice run for the eve.

Does anyone have any advice on how to properly defeat this event?

If you need more info from me please let me know and I will provide it.

Cheers,

Ciyn

make sure you clear the entire zone except the fish before you try and fight the drakota. at a certain % i believe the drakota will call all the trash left alive in the zone to help. make sure all the lizardmen are dead and you should do fine.

I don't remember killing everything in that zone just a few of the lizardmen otw to and including the Thulian squidhead dude to the right of the ZI. I think his group(s) are the ones that add at 40%.
