Re: Mayong - MMIS
Tank Mayong against the south wall, entire raid stands in front of the coffin tight. Offtank pulls adds back to raid at coffin. Pow drain aoe must be jousted, it drains more pow the closer you are to mayong. No one must take agro from the tank ever so mayong doesn't run in and pow drain your raid (I'm guessing this was your issue). Make sure your scout dps isn't too greedy and don't stay in on mayong for too long, he doesn't need to die asap.
Edit: Don't forget to bring wolfsbane for each pull.

We seem to be getting some variability from the adds. Some of them stun, while others seem to power drain. Maybe we are wrong and the power drain is frrm people being to close to Mayong while on add duty. In relation to the stuns, is it just a burn as fast as you can and dea with it issue or is there a strat to making the stuns less troublesome?
I don't have the timers in front of me, but we where only jousting the life tap AOE before, is the other one a must joust?
Thanks for the advice.

Uhhh, he has 2 AEs. Neither is a "lifetap." Blanket is a 50s timer that does tons of mental damage while closer to the mob and power drains along with needing to be cured else it tics more. Next we have Soul Paralysis which is a Cold based 40s?(I think) timer that does damage and stuns you but it has a 20m range(hence why you should joust to 20m beyond your tank which is the "sweet" spot for healers as well). You should joust both, because being stunned so much from Paralysis pretty much screws your DPS a lot. And having people die from Blanket also screws you because then he heals.

Currently we are working on the following strat, any advice on changes, especially related to the adds would be appreciated.
Position
1. MT fights Mayong where he stands.
2. 1 DPS group stands on the coffin within healer range
3. Healers and extra DPS fight from the left side wall within range of MT and coffin DPS group.
Strat:
1. Everyone is in charge of curing their own arcane debuffs except the MT. We found that having healers cure everyone of this debuff uses to much needed mana.
2. Coffin group is in charge of grabbing and burning adds, does extra DPS when able in between.
3. Anyone who needs to melee for DPS jousts out to avoid healing AOE form Mayong, MT stays.
Problems:
1. We typically can get him to around 30-40 percent before we run into a problem.
A. The Coffin group is out of mana and adds go nuts and start killing healers.
It seems if we can somehow figure out a better group makeup or strat for the adds we can dot his no problem. Oh and yes we have wolfsbane and we did stake the two coffins. We do seem to have some variance in the timer for the one AOE we are jousting, not sure if that is normal or we just don't have it down solid yet.
Again advice is very much appreciated, feel free to PM me if you'd rather not post. We are going in again this Saturday, course now most of us are near or at 80.

Seems like you're having issues with the adds, so just have everyone DPS the adds when they are up.
Also joust the two AE's, one will be on a 60 second timer and the other will be almost 90 seconds if your Rogues don't slack and maintain Traumatic Swipe. There is then plenty of time to do whatever you want in between no adds and no AE's.

When the adds are up and pulled back to raid party kill them first, they die ultra fast. I believe these adds are the ones doing the single target stuns.
The pow drain is blanket, mayong does it.
Your scouts must joust both AOEs. You need someone watching ACT and calling INs and OUTs.
If you've done cheldrak this is the same fight minus the specialty adds, you have windows to move in between the two aoes otherwise everyone is ranged and pulling adds back to raid.

Re: Mayong - MMIS
As stated key is to joust the AEs. Blanket (arcane) must be cured as it power drains. Paralysis (elemental/cold) stuns people who are in range.
Your strat is workable. Have people curing, and when DPS are in and adds spawn they have their own short range stun. This is an additional arcane I believe and group healers should knock that out... it is not very often and shouldnt be a huge power issue.
Having DPS "in" as often as possible even for a few seconds can also help alot in the long run. Goodluck.
