Somebody needs to explain to these guys the futility of defragging memory. And the way you fix a memory leak in someone else's program is to terminate that program, you don't need a utility to do that.

An enchanter epic weapon without subjugation is like a Buckeyes T-shirt without the colors scarlet and gray.

Don't find yourself fixing things out of fear that you should have fixed out of love.

I understand that, but this is a quick fix item that works without having to reboot the program. It's strange that some people have it and some do not experience any problem whatsoever, but with the myriad of hardware configurations it's bound to happen with shoddy programming.
This is a band-aid on an artery wound, but it's a quick fix that allows you to stay in-game and not lag out.
I didn't mean to imply otherwise.

It's part graphical drivers, part EQ2.

Re: Veeshan's Peak Memory Leaks?
Went in for the first time last night, had zero issues until Elder Ekron area.
Was fine there for the first 5 minutes or so, then memory usages was over 1.1gigs and climbing. prolly 4 or 5 more peeps had same issue.
Totally lame.

Re: Veeshan's Peak Memory Leaks?
I use my high settings without turning down and on Ekron, I get about pegged at 4GB used in memory.

I was wondering this myself. I can't get over the difference in performance I get when I close/minimize Firefox before opening EQ2.
I can leave it running with no issues if I never maximize it and leave it minimized on the taskbar. The minute i restore the window while tabbed in-game or put firefox on my second monitor i see an instant 15 fps drop guaranteed.

Re: Veeshan's Peak Memory Leaks?
We did Ekron for the first time last night.... only way to be stable was to get everyone to /quit and relaunch eq2, then pull Ekron.
Those falling boulders leak something shocking.
