Default Guild Houses

At the last FanFaire, part of the "futures" session included a preview of Guild Houses.

These weren't just 5 bedroom homes in Qeynos, these were shown as castle-like zones your guild could add rooms to based on guild progression. The structures were suggested to be all just off the shore in zones with a shoreline.

I think it's a good idea to revisit this issue and provide the devs with some useful feedback about what the zones could include.

Room ideas given at FanFaire included a teleporter room, where you could port directly to any zone with a druid ring or wiz portal, etc.

What ideas do you have for this type of guild housing? Not just fluff, but houses with useful features that go far beyond what was available in existing houses in EQ2.

The single most recurring request I hear from end game raiders would be for a trophy room, where you could display the trophies you receive for server first kills of epic mobs.

In game WW Firsts and Server firsts for your Crafting!!!

(cause its all about tah crafting)


Mini games, like chess, tic tac toe, and pocker... we can go to the guild house and actually interact with each other...

Instead of a room, why not just a flag and let PVP dominate in the whole hall?

Another thought - many players in guilds have over 20 million status points accumulated.

It might be a good idea to allow us to spend that toward guild house upgrades. Like, if adding a room cost 5 million status or whatever, maybe individual guild members could contribute status into a pool, much the same way that a trustee can pay rent status in advance for player housing now.

I know its super far fetched

But a realm where a person can go into their guild hall and fight, a group or 1v1 , cross server in a small controlled match using the PVP rule set.

For example, if i talked a bunch of smack and wanted to pawn {insert stupid person here} I can challenge them, cross server and meet at the appointed time in the "Danger Room" and fight.

Muahhaah... /cry its just a dream =(

Why not allow house upgrades only at max guild level, and basically use an AA system for guild XP, could even make it an advancement tree/different levels of upgrades. Just like with players, a max level guild would accumulate AA instead of XP. Would also make it fairer, not penalise players that spend their personal status, and be based on an effort of the entire guild.

Guild halls should be useful, ie teleporters, broker, mender/merchant (possibly at reduced rate), guild banker, crafting stations. I'd like a door to my private housing or alternatively allow us to take up residence in the guild hall - size of housing depends on guild level. Of course you may need to buy all of these as upgrades. I don't think guild halls should cost rent btw.

I love the PVP on PVE idea, but would prefer to have an outdoor area or the whole building for that. The Danger Room idea basically = Arena + cross-realm PVP, I don't see this related to guild halls.

And of course don't forget the lotto goblin. :P

PS: I think that guild halls issue is as many years old as the skeletal remodeling project now.
