Except, there was a week to do it. The change went in on February 20th. The patch went live on February 6th. Soo, I'm pretty certain if you hadn't cleared VP at least once by the 20th, you were pretty much a slacking guild.

To those insisting CoD is a huge change - the change was minor, and the encounter is very easy still. Much easier than T2, in my opinion.

The Skins/Failure may delay you a few days until you figure out the script, but once you've figured it out, the mob will die.

The new Nexona is hard - but its what you would have expected the first time you zoned into VP - it was supposed to be a great, hard, and large zone for hardcore raiders. The fact that VP was a huge disappointment for those of us who got there early is one thing - now it's a zone on par with what you'd expect, for the high-end raiding zone of the expansion. Well, Nexona is anyway. Druushk is another story, or so I'm told. We really haven't played around with the encounter much.

Leviathon is cake. If you can't beat him in his current state, you don't deserve to ever see VP.

I agree that the encounters are becoming more on par with what we would've expected from VP, but the loot is so damned shitty. The loot should've been upgraded at the same damned time the mobs were changed. Nexona is great. Druushk only needs a tweak to make him acceptable again, like not engaging the statue clickers so they aren't interrupted by the fear. This has all been said though.

I think yesterday was just a reboot. Today will proably be a patch.

Something was changed today, but there was no patch notes to indicate what was changed...

When I got up this morning, I started my patcher and it downloaded an EQ2_delta.exe, so something was definitely changed. Let's hope it wasn't something retarded, like an NPC is now named Jim instead of Jom.

I don't know. I downloaded new files yesterday as well. Another one of the reasons I miss having reliable patch notes. We see the files being changed, but there is never any notification of changes being put in. I don't care how insignificant some of the changes are, I like reading what has been altered. I don't like when I'm told that I wouldn't be interested in the changes, "so we didn't bother."

Well how do you think people would have reacted if they had added in the patch notes for the Druushk changes?

Quote:
Druushk now engages everyone in the zone, and his adds will continue to spawn regardless of the state of the statues being clicked.
First of all, people would cry that patch notes contained spoilers... And second of all, this was its intended behaviour in the first place. If they didn't put what the intended behaviour was in the patch notes to begin with, then they can't really put in that it's now working as intended...

They dont have to do all that. Something as simple as the following would be sufficient.

"We have made adjustments to the following encounters in Veeshan's Peak; Druusk, etc etc etc"

Noone is expecting a walk through of what was changed but we need to be kept in the loop.

Lack of dev communication to the playerbase is the single biggest issue holding EQ2 down.

Whoever is responsible for this is stealing money from SOE.
